Quick info
About Café Break
Café Break runs a breakfast and brunch menu with unusual breadth from 25 Station Road in Romford. A traditional English breakfast sits on the same list as a French toast option, and the kitchen carries on through to burgers and pasta for people coming in on a lunch break. Coffee is the standard order, with a matcha latte among the alternatives. The café opens daily and takes walk-ins rather than bookings, though you can call an order through before arriving, and food can be packed up to eat off site. A wait builds around the late-morning brunch stretch, when people queue outside. A step-free entrance keeps the room reachable for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seats, which give customers the option of eating in the open air.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers return to Café Break for, with the traditional breakfast and the French toast breakfast singled out as full of flavour and beautifully plated. Close behind is the coffee, which one reviewer calls the best they have found in the UK, alongside a smooth matcha latte. Diners also mention the burger and pasta, and several describe friendly, lovely staff and quick service even when busy, with people waiting outside at brunch time. Opinions on the drinks and sweet items are mixed: one reviewer found the coffee not great and the pancakes too sweet and crumbly, and another felt the pancakes seemed to be a packaged item rather than freshly made. The sharpest complaint comes from a reviewer whose phone-ordered traditional English breakfast arrived after a further wait with cold tomatoes, mushrooms and beans, hash browns that fell apart, and butter straight from the fridge, plus an extra charge for tea.

“I stopped here whilst my car was having some work done down the road. Nice coffee, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Plenty of people were grabbing food and drinks to eat in or take away, all looked great! Would drop in again for sure.”

“Visited Café Break recently and had a really great experience. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, perfect for breakfast or a casual coffee break. The food was fresh, well presented, and full of flavour especially the French toast breakfast and the traditional breakfast options. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even when it seemed busy. The coffee was also excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. Would happily come back again!”

“It Took a further 20 minutes once arriving at the cafe, after ordering via telephone prior to arrival, was then informed when I arrived it would be ready in 2-3 minutes time once seated, 20 minutes later when sat down - most of the food was cold, they do not do any mustard and I ordered a traditional English breakfast, if I wanted a cup of tea it is an extra £2-40 , fried tomatoes were cold, mushroom was cold baked beans were cold only the bacon and eggs were cooked, hash browns fell apart as soon as a fork went near them the butter was straight out the freezer and the toast had large holes in making it impossible to try and butter - over priced menu , zero value and they don’t care. The reply will be twisted and false in areas as they try to protect a reputation as opposed to admitting any fault. The only food which was cooked, was , egg, bacon and a sausage, the stuff taken from the freezer , beans, tomatoes, mushrooms , butter was still cold in the centre or rock hard like the butter. Have yet to review from the owners where they take accountability for a poor service”
