Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, with the Peshawari naan called the best one reviewer had in ages and the "Special Mix" starter, served sizzling on a grill platter, singled out alongside an onion bhaji described as the best they have had. Several call the dishes tasty, hot and well presented, and one takeaway regular says the flavours are always spot on. Portions are described as good, and a Bangladeshi couple found enough vegetable and prawn dishes to choose from. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and lovely. The main complaint comes from a long-time customer whose last three or four takeaways brought oily mains, dry naans with hardly any garlic or filling, and rice sitting in water. Another found the Chicken Makahani with coconut rice extremely sweet and not very spicy. The restaurant is small and busy, and one reviewer suggests booking. On New Year's Eve, one diner praised staff who stayed professional even after their order was given to another table.

“Lovely restaurant in the heart of Ripon. Our food was excellent as was the service. We chose the set menu and was too full for dessert. The Peshawari naan was delicious and the best I'd had in ages . Definitely recommend this restaurant.”

“Came here with some friends. Staff were very lovely. The food was wonderful, however extremely sweet and not very spicy for my personal liking (this could have been due to my order: Coconut rice and Chicken Makahani). The starters we got were SO beautiful though, the meat came sizzling on the grill platter-very impressive. I recommend the "Special Mix". Best onion bhaji i've ever had. Nice place for a nice dinner out, but do research what you're ordering! Also the background music was very lovely!”
