Customer Review Summary

Sunday dinner is what reviewers return to most, with one calling it the best around and another the best Sunday lunch ever, though one says the roast potatoes could be improved. Close behind is the main menu, where diners name the steak sandwich, the burger, and the ribs at the tapas and music night, which one calls their favourite. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and efficient even on hot, packed days, although one reviewer found service a little slow and another waited longer when the kitchen was a chef down. Value splits opinion. Some call it super value, while one diner found the battered fish arrives without chips, so sides must be ordered separately, leaving portions feeling small. That diner also found the monkfish overcooked and the dressed crab very small with hard bread, and another found a burger's brioche bun dry and stale. One reviewer was surprised that a "small" pud with coffee was not small.

“The staff were friendly and helpful, food was absolutely amazing, portions were really good (I couldn’t clear my plate!) lovely atmosphere, gorgeous outside area. Very clean and decor was really lovely. It’s very apparent that the owners take great pride in their establishment and value their customers. Absolutely recommend it, just gutted that I didn’t go there sooner as I have driven past many times. Definitely value for money too.”

“Probably the best Sunday dinner around, I have never had a bad meal here. If I'm being picky the roast potatoes could be improved, but I am being petty. Staff are so friendly and helpful but was a little bit slow today, think they might have had new starters.”

“I booked a table at the Brook for 6 at 3.15 on Sunday 2 August and I want to say what a wonderful experience we had. I heard they were one chef down so we had to wait a little longer than usual but the staff remained professional and courteous. The pub was absolutely rammed, the carpark was full and every table was occupied, all the staff were up against it. Yet the food was still excellent cooked to perfection, would 100% recommend. Well done everyone 👌🏻”

“We had Sunday dinner and once again it was outstanding. Despite it being a very hot, busy day the staff were extremely efficient, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back and hopefully get to experience the garden. Keep up the hard work ☺️”

“I'd heard good things about the food at the Brook Inn, and we weren't disappointed. We booked the Woodshed for our son's 21st. Made it more special for him having our own room. The staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Now the food is fantastic. Everyone had a great meal. It's super value for the quality of food they cook. Will most definitely be dining there again. They prefer cash.”
