  “We were looking forward to a nice fish n chips meal but ended up very disapointed. Chips were tasteless and seemed frozen ones). Fish cooked nicely. Mushy peas were bland tasting as was the tartare sauce. (had to ask for the same) Overall a forgettable meal. Wont be going back. My £40 can be better spent.”

  “Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Possibly ever. Clean oil. Crisp batter. Good thick fish too. Had tartare sauce, but didn't need it. Milkshakes are incredibly smooth, had chocolate. Served with a big straw so it doesn't feel like sucking a golf ball through a hose. Will definitely visit again. Well worth the money”

  “Just called in for lunch, 2 small fish and chips with peas. Everything was excellent, the staff are so lovely and very polite and a true asset to the company. Batter on fish was crispy and light and everything was piping hot. Portion sizes really generous too. First visit for us but certainly will not be the last!!!!”

  “The chips seemed frozen, and fish was ok, but the batter was poor. I don't think this is a chippy... but a fish and chip offering. Poor at best, especially for the price. If you were a chippy with the restaurant you have, wow! Charge more. Atmosphere is a good, food is not. Price is too much. It was good when it started. Sad.”

  “We go here a few times a year usually food is excellent but this last trip not so good first of all the lad who served us only hot half the order , and then we received our tea with cups and saucers no spoon to stir it with and then when we received our meals the cheese and onion pie was nothing like the last time i had one could not taste the cheese and there seemed to be little squares of i think was onions , very small pie to the last one plus the plates it was on were only Luke warm definitely not anything like last time not to mention my partner had to wait 7mins more for his food as the young man only put one order in not two all in all not my best experience i had here .”

  “Lovely Addition To The Flower Bowl! I Went Here After Doing A Curling Taster Session At The Flower Bowl Hoping For A Great Lunch To Fuel Me Up For The Film I Was Going To Watch! I Had A Small Chips & Haddock W A Side Of Peas And Some Calamari Starters. Trust Me. It Was AWESOME! The Calamari Was Well Cooked And Crunchy. The Quality Was Great! The Haddock Was Just As Spectacular And So Was The Chips! Also I REALLY Recommend The Curry Sauce! It's Literally Amazing! It's Got A Fruity Taste To It And A Nice Bit Of Spice! The Food Took Approx 16-21 Min To Arrive (however I'm not disappointed because it was busy and there was little staff) Next Time I Come To The Flower Bowl I'm 100% Coming Again!! Btw The Whole Menu Is On My Review So You Can Check!”

  “Stopped off after a movie at the Flower Bowl cinema. Staff very kindly said we weren't too late, even though it was after 7 and they close at half past. The food and service were excellent. The menu is very helpfully laid out with veggie, vegan and GF options. I loved the cheese and onion pie. My wife had sausage and chips, which came with mushy peas and a generous jug of gravy.   “polite and welcoming, seated where we felt comfortable, not hurried to order, drinks served promptly, the haddock fish bites was a good size sharing starter, very tasty 😋 unless you're really hungry this portion size was OK, then the mains we had a regular and a small haddock and chips, both our fish were in a crunchy batter, excellent white fish, not overcooked or swimming in oil 😀 The place itself was clean and bright, the toilets were equally high standard, our 1st visit and came away pleased and full, could ask for better”

  “Great decor and friendly staff. Mushy peas really nice but would have to knock a couple of stars off for the quality of the chips. Not the greatest especially considering the price. It's nice to have a sit down and ambience is good, menu is quite pricey though. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was practically empty so that was good, service was quick, table service as well, and staff were welcoming. Great toilet facilities as well. The menu also has vegetarian and vegan options.”
