About Ramore Wine Bar
Ramore Wine Bar is a wine bar on The Harbour in Portrush, open daily. Ordering happens at the counter, where guests order and pay at the bar, then wait there until their name is called over a tannoy when their table is ready. There is no table service, so guests collect their own cutlery and carry drinks back to their table. Chicken features heavily on the menu, with a rigatoni chicken and chorizo pasta and a chili chicken penne pasta, and a wagyu burger rounds out the mains. Lunchtime specials run during the day, and some tables sit by the window. Separate orders arrive at separate times.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the ordering system, and mostly as a complaint: guests are told to wait at the bar for a table, then queue at the bar to order their own food and drinks, with no table service. Several describe a crowded free-for-all at the counter, and separate orders arriving at separate times. Waits for food run long, with sides landing well before mains. Food is called average pub food, and the chicken and chorizo rigatoni pasta drew a complaint about a single piece of chorizo and a sauce that tasted powdered. One reviewer thought the wagu burger had little wagu in it, and another called the pint flat. One coeliac diner reports staff could not tell which chili chicken penne was gluten free and says she felt ill afterward. Positive reviewers describe a warm welcome, lunch specials, fantastic cocktails, and staff who helped a party of 30 and a group member with disabilities celebrate a birthday. One notes window seating and a chicken-heavy menu with little seafood. One group of ten even took desserts home.

“Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We arrived at 7:30pm but weren’t seated until after 8pm, despite the delays already being apparent. Once seated, there was no table service, and we were required to pay for the food upfront. The tables weren’t properly set, and there were further delays getting our food. The sides arrived around 20 minutes before the mains, which made the meal feel very disjointed no one seemed to know where the mains were. When the mains eventually arrived, the food itself was only average and certainly didn’t justify the price or the overall experience. Overall, the long waits, lack of service and poor timing between dishes made for a frustrating evening. Unfortunately, this is not somewhere I would be rushing back to.”

“Shout out to servers Michelle and Ellie Mae, the best service I’ve ever received in a restaurant! They were v accommodating and went above and beyond to help one of our group (who has disabilties) have the best birthday dinner ever. 10 stars!!”

“If I could give a minus review I would !!!! Rude staff and ridiculously over priced for ,the portions and quality of food. I got the wagu burger, I think the only wagu it had in it was in the name !!! The 99p kids menu is a scam just to get you in the door, don't fall for it! Also the flattest pint I've had in a long time save your money and the disappointment of coming to this dear excuse of a restaurant.”

“Disastrous system in place here. Got there for our table at 7:30pm, told to wait at the bar and we would be called when it was ready. So many people at the bar, either waiting or trying to order their dinner that it was absolute chaos. You order your own food and drinks at the bar. The drinks your take back to your table. Called for our table at 8pm, went straight back to the bar to order food, but took another 20 minutes to get served. Now 8:20pm... Food started to come at 9:05pm... Food is bang average - just pub food. Best thing was the 80s playlist, until they ruined it by playing Lady In Red but Chris De Burgh. Some things to note: * It was a Saturday night on the May bank holiday weekend * Weather we good that day, and forecast to be great the following day * Place was heaving The chaotic ordering system, massive waits for food, and average food, doesn't seem to put people off. But has put me off.”

“Words can not describe how amazing our meal was. We had a large party of 30 for a graduation celebration. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time ever. The food was brilliant. The cocktails were fantastic. Thank you so much for making our night so special !!!!! Big shoutout to Ryan and JD !!”
