Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the Neapolitan dough, describing it as light, airy and well fermented, with pizzas that carry toppings they say they had not seen elsewhere. Close behind is the 15th century building, where one diner looked down the well in the dining room and found water still in it, and another mentions the outdoor courtyard. Specific items named include crispy potatoes that stayed crunchy after sitting, Marmite and cheese bread, dough bites, a Ragu pizza, homemade limonade, and a Parma Farmer made gluten and dairy free for an extra charge. Reviewers also praise the handling of dietary needs, with many vegan options and a group of twelve with allergies accommodated on short notice. Several suggest booking a table in advance. The one negative comes from a delivery customer who received two vegetarian pizzas, one topped with bacon and the other crushed in the box, and says calls and WhatsApp messages went unanswered while Deliveroo offered no help. Among the dine-in reviews, a table layout that let a whole group talk without shouting is mentioned.

“Fantastic Pizzeria within easy reach for just about everyone. Specialty is pizza and not much else, which is a good thing as they really know what they are doing. All of our pizzas were cooked perfectly using delicious and varied ingredients I hadn’t seen before. Many vegan options and my Ragu was superb. Service was first rate and to be honest I left the best bit until last as what separates this from most other pizzerias (apart from the pizzas), is the ambience. Amazing interior beautifully finished more or less makes the evening pretty much as perfect as it could have been. Booking is essential.”

“Ordered two vegetarian pizzas. One came with bacon and the other was crushed in the box. Knead Pizza have ignored my calls and WhatsApp messages and Deliveroo has not helped out at all.”

“Incredible pizza, possibly the best I've had outside of Italy! The dough is absolutely delicious, with a rich tomato base & perfect amounts of cheese. The dough bites are pure perfection, too. Could have ordered a second one, just so I could enjoy it again! Service was very friendly, building it just beautiful & nicely appointed. Could bit recommend highly enough!”

“This place serves some of the best pizzas you could ever eat in your life. It’s located in a historic building, and the whole atmosphere is incredibly cozy, unique, and full of character. We ordered two pizzas, and both had topping combinations we had never tried before. The flavors worked together so perfectly that every single slice genuinely amazed us. The dough was proper Neapolitan-style beautifully fermented, light, airy, and flavorful. It carried the toppings perfectly while also being delicious on its own. We also ordered the potatoes to share, and honestly, they were probably the best crispy potatoes I’ve ever had. Most restaurants use frozen fries or standard potatoes, but these were clearly handmade and prepared with real care. Perfectly crispy outside, soft inside, and incredibly tasty. We even left them sitting for a while after the pizzas arrived, and they were STILL crispy and delicious. It’s honestly a shame this place isn’t in London. The pizzas alone are worth traveling to this city for and the potatoes make it even more worth it. Absolutely unforgettable food and an experience I would highly recommend to anyone.”
