  “I went to lunch at Chapter One with two friends. We all ordered the skate. When it came up it wasn’t a wing just a part of a wing. Mine was a bit undercooked for my liking with a lot of pink in it and was too salty for me. My two friends both thought that the skate wasn’t as good as they have had in other restaurants. I wouldn’t hurry back!”

  “Came here with my wife for our anniversary. We've wanted to visit here for years since it's very close to where we live. Located at the top of locksbottom a short distance from Bromley. Beautiful smart large restaurant. We booked well in advance as it can get very busy. The menu was a three course menu with a nice choice of dishes, very reasonably priced considering the quality. Every dish we had was faultless. Excellent choice of wines and other drinks. The service was friendly, welcoming and engaging, Harry, who served us, was amazing and really made it feel like a special night. This really is a solid five star restaurant, if I could give six stars, I would, we both really enjoyed our visit. I'd highly recommend a visit here but probably best to book well in advance.”

  “Today I went to this restaurant with the lady I work for, her daughter, her sister, and her niece. We had a wonderful meal, and everything was delicious. A special thank you to our waiter, Achilles. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and kind. His excellent service made our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!”

  “Went here for the first time and had such an amazing experience! We had the ribeye steaks which were cooked to Perfection and finished off with the sticky toffee pudding. Our servers Harry and Hugo went above and beyond and had such detailed service to make us feel well cared for. Will definitely be coming back again. Thank you!”

The food was exceptionally good and your company fantastic. After realizing it was our anniversary Lucy offered a surprise complimentary dessert with a happy anniversary message so sweet and thoughtful. We never mentioned our anniversary when booking and didn’t expect the surprise. Thank you Lucy”

  “What a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, and the attention to detail is evident in everything from the blue lamp lighting to the branded dinnerware. Every dish we had was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The scotch egg was perfectly cooked, and the fish course served with a delicate sauce was a real highlight of our meal. We could not have asked for a better evening.”

  “I had the burger, and the quality of the beef was really good. We also shared some amazing starters, especially the tuna tacos, which were a highlight. My friends had the chicken Milanese and all really enjoyed it as well. I also noticed a lot of people ordering the Sunday roast, which clearly seems to be very popular there and looked great coming out of the kitchen. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the wine service, which felt a bit chaotic at times. Aside from that, the service overall was good and the atmosphere made for a nice lunch experience.”
