Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often complain that portions have shrunk while prices rose, with the lamb chop karahi the clearest example. One diner received two bones instead of lamb chops, and another found only one good chop out of six and curries with four cubes of meat. Several describe a decline that has gone on for months, citing a freezing donner kebab, reheated chips, bland curry and a chicken burger likened to a flip flop. One cheeseburger meal arrived wrong, and a late Just Eat delivery also drew a complaint. A few praise the food: one reviewer calls the chicken tikka so good, with balanced spices, freshly made dishes, kind staff and a pizza they loved. Complaints about resolution recur. One caller reports a rude, aggressive chef refusing to replace the karahi, and a diner whose rogan josh arrived far spicier than the medium they ordered was offered only an onion bhaji on a future order.

“Fastened and buckled, i marched my way up one of the most steepest if not, the steepest street, Belmont street. I arrived at this renown takeaway, Zeus struck his lightning bolt as I stepped foot thru the door. Chef lunged with precision over the counter and shoved the menu down my throat. I ordered a classic but special donner and chips. Chef handed my food within a milisecond. Skies were dark and one look at my food and I was fossilised. I uneasily took a bite of the donner and soon enough I was speaking fluent in Russian. Curled the box of meat into a cannon-ball and full throttled my throw into the chefs face. My willpower changed his ethnicity to Mexican and I scattered on my fingernails out the shop. Awful experience”

“My wife ordered a takeaway from Just Eat, delivery said 45 to 60 minutes. 2 and a half hours later the food arrived and I eat it so fast because I was so hungry I don't remember much about it other than it was pretty good.”

“I received 2 bones instead of lamb chops with my Lamb chop karahi. They have put the price up and cut the meat out. I did'nt want to write a negative review so I called them up and complained. I asked for a replacement but the chef in the background was being rude and aggressive and refusing to replace the lamb chops karahi. I told them that they can collect the food or send me a number where I can send a picture of what I received. The caller just said The Boss is not there so they can't do anything. I ordered portions at nearly £12 each. What a waste of my money on this pathetic take away. This place has gone downhill and I hope they close down for good.”
