About The Court of Requests
The Court of Requests is a Wetherspoon pub on Church St in Oldbury, housed in an 1816 courthouse. The decor refers to the building's earlier use as a library and a magistrates court, and old books line the walls. The kitchen serves classic pub fare, with breakfast in the morning and bottomless tea and coffee. Drinks are ordered through the app and brought to the table, so there is no need to queue at the bar. The pub is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly and helpful, with one server whose smile and humour keep a regular returning and who sorted out a mistaken meal order. Service is called quick, with drinks reaching tables through the app, and the pints come out icy cold. Breakfast earns repeated praise for its large variety and free refills on hot drinks. The decor draws comment too, with walls lined with old books and nods to the building's past as a library and magistrates court. One diner found the Margherita pizza okay but the garlic pizza very watery and slow to arrive, and describes a manager responding dismissively to the complaint before agreeing to replace it. That reviewer also reports a friend's food poisoning after an earlier visit. Another reviewer recalls a waiter who, knowing their order, carried a drink straight to the table they had moved to.

“A very nice Wetherspoons Even had it's own car park which I didn't realise until I'd paid for the one over the road Not sure on its history but from the decor I would say it used to be the courthouse”

“Service is amazing, I was chatting to a friend about how good this place is, so thought it only fair to share with the general public. Service here lightening quick and consistent, the app works very well, often I have had drinks delivered to my table within 2 mins. Food, always consistent and well prepared and cooked… Jodie the manager, keeps a great pint, the beer comes out icy cold, draught and bottles.. white wine, nicely chilled.. I go to many pubs, nothing compares to here. A special thanks to all the staff, all really hard working, Jay Jodie’s partner is another credit to this place. This boozer/ eaterie is textbook on how a British pub should be run.. and it’s really well priced.. look out for specials and offers, £1.49 a pint offer, in 2025.. that’s some deal 🤣👌🏼”
