Customer Review Summary
The trifle is the dish reviewers argue over most. One calls it spot on, while another found only jelly, runny custard, cream and sprinkles and felt it did not deserve the name. Friendly, helpful staff are the more consistent praise. Several say the team seem happy in their roles and describe lovely service, which one reviewer found very impressive for a garden centre. Beyond dessert, diners single out the feta, spinach and red onion quiche, a Sunday roast, a fry up breakfast, great coffee, and plenty of cakes, puddings and teas. The complaints are specific. One breakfast diner called the sauces dreadful, with a mustard that had no flavour or spice. Another found the cake choice fairly limited, with no sign of gluten free options. A parent was disappointed that the children's play area has been removed. One reviewer also mentions a social room for dogs with their owners, and a table that pre-booked the Sunday roast was given a free cauliflower cheese.

“Really disappointed that the children’s play area has been removed. This was once a place to visit with younger children where you felt welcome & were not encroaching on other diners with having the separate area. We miss this facility”

“Descent breakfast fry up but the sauces are dreadful. Cheap tasteless stuff, the mustard had zero flavour or spice. Please get something like HP, HEINZ, COLMUNS.”

“Lovely cafe. Great coffee. Even a Social room for furbabies put with their humans.”

“Well Paula, we’re here again with our friends. Lunch was great but what can we say the TRIFLE was spot on. Now that’s what we call a trifle. Paula, we’ll be looking out for this on our next get together. 👍🤣. All have a good Christmas, see you all soon. 🎅🎄”
