Customer Review Summary
The complaints are specific and recurring. Two reviewers report raw batter, including tempura, and one was given an incomplete order that meant a return trip for satay sauce. Others describe a crispy beef that was mostly batter, pork belly that was mostly fat, and a grey, stodgy sesame toast. One found the Pao Kee Mao pork dry and mild despite its two-chilli rating, and another got rock-hard sticky rice. One reviewer reports a sesame allergy warning was given yet an item meant for the allergy sufferer arrived covered in sesame seeds. Several say messages and emails to the restaurant went unanswered, and one order took over two hours and arrived soft and wet.

“I ordered the Pao Kee Mao with pork and was disappointed given the excellent reviews and the two-chilli spice rating. The pork was quite dry and lacked flavour, and the noodles were only mildly spicy despite being marked as a spicy dish. I was expecting a much bolder flavour profile and more heat.”

“Ordered online but have collected before, super fast delivery and delicious as always. With other takeaways it’s usually a gamble trying something new but at Take Thai we know it will always be tasty. Great quality ingredients too. Worth every penny.”

“Certainly the best Thai takeaways in Norwich I’ve been to Thailand over a dozen times & the food from the kitchen in Take Thai is equally to anything I’ve had in Thailand. My favourite dish is the chicken Thai green curry, its full of flavour & hits the spot. 💯”

“Previously very much enjoyed Take Thai but our order tonight took 2hrs 20 mins to arrive, items that on prior occasions arrived crispy arrived soft and wet this time (seems a strange decision to move to sending the fish in the chu chee pla in the sauce instead of separately, definitely suffered for it). More concerning was that we warned of a sesame allergy but an item we specified as being for the allergy sufferer was covered in sesame seeds.”
