About Mr Postles Apothecary
Mr Postles Apothecary is a cocktail bar in the centre of Norwich on Upper King St, with an interior styled like an old pharmacy and plants hanging from the ceiling. The large cocktail menu pairs original cocktails with classic mocktails such as a virgin mojito and a virgin candy cane. Some cocktails arrive with dry ice or a flame, so the drinks are part of the pharmacy theme. Jugs of cocktails are available to share. On the food side, the kitchen serves burgers and small plates, and Sunday brings a roast with crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. Happy hours include a Sunday cocktail offer. Drinks come to the table through table service, and live music plays on some nights.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the cocktail list, praising its huge range and unique selection, with some drinks arriving with dry ice or a flame and jugs made for sharing. A non-drinker singles out the virgin candy cane and the original mocktails, saying they are more than two juices in a glass. Close behind is the Sunday roast, where diners name crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, crispy parsnip and a pork roast with crispy skin, with cauliflower cheese also praised. The interior, which looks like an old pharmacy with plants hanging from the ceiling, and the live music add to a relaxed atmosphere, and the service is described as friendly and efficient. Complaints are small but specific. One diner found the beef sliced thin and not pink, another thought the gravy ordinary and too much once poured over the whole plate, and one wanted cheesier cauliflower cheese. One reviewer mentions lots of hen parties on Saturday nights. A pint of diet coke from the pump tasted odd, so staff swapped it for bottles.

“I am actively hunting sunday roasts across Norwich. So far, this place comes to my top rated list. I had pork roast, skin is crispy . Gravy is good. Vegetables are also tasty. Cauliflower cheese also nicely cooked. Will come back again!”

“The interior is unique and looks like an old pharmacy, with plants hanging from the ceiling and a very cool vibe. We went during the food festival and tried the Sunday roast, which was amazing. We had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. The plate had many components: crispy vegetables, a sweet potato cream, different kinds of veggies, some sort of egg pie, and of course the meat. I really liked the idea of having so many different things on the same plate—you can mix them together, create different combinations, or enjoy each one separately. The only small downside was the gravy: it was okay but nothing special, and since it was poured over the whole plate, after a while it became a bit too much. Overall, the food was high quality and we still had a really nice and fun experience”
