  “Family had great day! at riverview diner today , excellent fish& chips! & very tasty burger! Very generous portions .very good value lovely atmosphere . Simon made us feel very welcome! We will defiantly be returning to try out more of the menu ! Great place to eat & nice chilled environment staff very freindly & welcoming would recommend 👌.”

  “We ended up coming here after the chain pub down the road was unwilling to tweak things to accommodate our party of 13 for my birthday brunch on a Sunday. Riverview, on the other hand, were only too happy to fit us in even though they had a big party of over 20 due a couple of hours after our arrival. Staff were very helpful, particularly the guy taking our orders (what a sweetie he was!) The food came out staggered but you expect that with a big party, the main thing was it was piping hot and tasty and there were plenty of options on the menu for myself and my mum who are vegetarians. Its got its own carpark which is handy and its also wheelchair friendly too (they have a foldable ramp to help get you in the door) Obviously its a 'diner' so it has a very relaxed cafe feel to it, but if you want decent priced great food and a personal service, you are 100% better off here than that awful chain pub down the road that I mentioned earlier. Give your business to this place over them, you definitely wont regret it! I'll be back next time I'm in the area! T H A N K Y O U to all the Team!”

  “Mega breakfast was amazing, had a proper plate full of food for just over £12 and really good quality food too. Service was quick and friendly with good music playing in the background. Definitely will be going back, I highly recommend Riverview Diner 👍🏻”

  “We’ve been a few times and it’s always empty. The lad serving is friendly and helpful. Service is fast. Large portions of food and good value. But…..while we were there, the owners/managers sat at a table vaping in the restaurant! It’s put us off going again.”

  “Attended today and was met and welcomed by our waitress , very approachable and gave us a few minutes to decide.We ordered a Full English Breakfast which when served was absolutely SUPERB , presented impeccably, huge portions and very very reasonably priced . A lovely pot of Tea for one as well .This is a REAL GEM well worth a visit you will definitely NOT be disappointed. I can’t wait to visit again . It also has a fully licensed bar which we will be frequenting soon !!!”

  “Quiet on the Sunday morning we visited. Loads of dining space inside and out. Car park free and near to diner. I had the medium breakfast and it was good. Whole section of the menu was dedicated to biker baps and wraps. Only downside was the coffee. Went for a latte and it was like no latte I have ever had. It's rare I don't drink coffee, but this one I could not finish. One minor thing in an otherwise recommended stopping point.”

  “First time I’ve been since it was the Butterly now under different owners (I think). Off the bat, it was good, apart from bubble and squeak on the menu.. I mean really? Bubble and squeak? Is this the ‘50s? Almost as bad as avocado on toast. Also the coffee tasted like it was sitting all week in a pot of dried feet but that’s probably down to me as I really don’t like some coffees, but it was an actual real size cup of coffee, not a token cup, and piping hot so a win there. Only went for a bap which actually was large and seeing other peoples meals they don’t skimp on the portion size which is good. They appear to have gone for bench seating all round I think to get in as many as they can, which I think if it was full it would lose some of its charm. Staff great, but no view of the river? Bit of a let down as it’s called the river view? Maybe I just needed to not face the wall and it may have been better?”
