Customer Review Summary
Chicken chow mein is the dish reviewers return to most, described as well balanced with noodles and beansprouts, a fair portion of meat, hot and not greasy. Veggie spring rolls, chicken in black bean sauce with egg fried rice, and a szechuan duck sauce with rice that one diner called delicious also draw praise, as does the beef ho fun, though a reviewer found the won ton soup small. Opinion is sharply split. Several complaints centre on portions and price, with a chow mein and chicken curry that had only a few pieces of chicken, a curry that shrank, and salt and pepper chips with no onions or peppers. Others found the chicken wings too salty in batter and the beef curry watery and very sweet. One reviewer says food was so oily it leaked through the bag. Service problems recur too: one order took nearly two hours with calls cut short, and another reviewer reports an allergy note about onions and garlic ignored twice, then a refused refund. A reviewer who was promised a supervisor callback was later told the supervisor had gone home.

“There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on this restaurant. My hypothesis is that the owners seem to change. I went on October 26th, 2025, and it was a solid experience. I ordered the beef ho fun (9.5/10) and Won Ton soup (7/10). The prices are quite pricey, however the beef hofun was worth it. The won ton soup however lacked in quantity for 4.50 pounds. Overall it's great. It's a small restaurant with a scent of chinese culture. I'd recommend eating at the place. I do think if you want an authentic experience, there is a better place to go nearby. But for the food, it could be worth it.”

“Chicken wings , too much salt and done badly in batter didn’t taste nice. Beef curry was watery and very sweet. Chips nice. Delivered within 30 mins of ordering which was a worry.”

“Still no delivery. Food is usually nice from here but not here yet. Ordered nearly 2hrs ago still not here. Called twice and fobbed off saying will be 5 mins. The second call I tried to talk to them and they just kept saying thank you then out phone down. Didn’t even listen. No service what’s so ever and it’s not a cheap takeaway either.”

“Chicken chow mein hardly had any chicken probably 5 pieces and chicken curry same thing less and less chicken. Spring roll sauce very little … it’s a joke Chinese take away. Compared to others very abundant meat and sauce. And one more thing they are more expensive!!!! Beware of this take away!”
