Customer Review Summary

Breakfast draws most reviewers, with the full breakfast and the Jack's breakfast singled out as hot, fresh and tasty, and poached eggs described as cute. Huge portions and good value come up repeatedly, with one diner unable to finish the plate. Close behind are the quick service and friendly, welcoming staff, plus strong coffee. Others mention a steak with mushroom sauce that complemented the meat, a brunch and a pulled pork panini. The criticisms are small. One reviewer found the eggs slightly runny and felt extras were steep, citing an extra charge for a single plum tomato. Another notes street parking along the road is hit and miss with a one hour limit, and wasn't sure where other car parks are. One diner who stopped late morning on the way back from a holiday still got a full breakfast, and another called it the kind of place worth visiting when traveling through.

“A lovely traditional café with an excellent selection of food. All cooked fresh. Ask for less chips and cut down on those carbs. I tried the steak very good and mushroom sauce complimented the meat very well. Will definitely visit again.”
  • Daron Mills
“A nice cafe, I had a breakfast which was cooked lovely, maybe a little longer on the eggs as they were slightly snotty, but not enough to ruin it. Bit steep on extras as it cost an extra £1.50 for one plumb tomato! Good coffee. Staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Will visit again next time I'm in the area.”
