  “Ate here twice during my trip to Newquay, both meals lovely, one of the best cooked and tastiest steaks I've had when eating out. Staff are all great too, the host especially so!”

  “Such a shame that the service here is utterly shocking because the food is great. We've been coming here for years but the last 3 visits have got progressively worse. I vowed after my last visit I wouldn't come again but it was a birthday in the family and they wanted to come here. Just like last time, I had to physically go and get the waiting staff to place a drinks order, and again to place the food order, which was wrong when it came out. And just like last time, I had to go to the bar to get my bill and pay. None of the tables around us were cleared after those patrons had left, which meant the place looked like a tip. The worst part of this visit was having to endure the waitress chewing gum with her mouth open every time we managed to get her to actually serve us. As locals, it would be a place we'd come to regularly, if the easiest part of running a restaurant was sorted. It's really not difficult to get your waiting staff to show some respect for the customers and their own restaurant. That aside, the food was fabulous again. But that's me done. I won't be back and I'd caution anyone else that wants to feel like they are a valued customer to give this place a wide berth until they've sorted their front of house.”

  “Sadly the KITCHEN CLOSES at 9pm but it's not indicated here on google maps or anywhere on their website. We thought it closed at 11pm as indicated, sadly couldn't try their food 😔”

  “Not to bad just bits that lowered score. Took to long to get drinks and wasn't asked if we wanted more. Ordered starters and mains. They both came out together. Also cutlery was brought out once all meals and starters were out ( asked whilst coming out). Because all the food came out together by the time we got half way through the meal bits were getting cold”

  “Food was okay but thats it okay nothing more such a shame cos we come here for a roast and it was amazing but had a steak and burger tonight bloody dreadful steak was not cooked how I ordered it and the burger was dry and tasteless the fried were far to overcooked and were oily n crunchy the steak had no taste also we had 2 desserts and they were shocking for £9 each not worth the money at all the lemon posset how you can call it that I dont know nothing like a lemon posset ive ever had before it was awful and the black forest sundae was mainly whipped cream and syrup hardly any fruit or ice cream waited over an hour and a half for a mocktail which contains no alcohol so why it took so long I have no idea also the staff were so rude didn't even let us finish our order before just walking off had to call them back 3 times to finish our order as kept walking away from our table god knows why so overall a shocking experience in the worst kind of way would we come back defo not . The only time id offer this place to anyone is if you want food where a chef cant cook it or wanna die of dehydration before getting your drink absolutely shocking ! The waitresses need more training in manners and timely skills it wasnt even busy in their this evening so their was no excuse bloody disgusting customer service 🤬🤬”
