  “Lovely Sunday carvery 30/8. Carvery Courtney was friendly and efficient. Server Clare was very attentive and friendly. Couldn’t fault the staff. The only problem was that it was so hot and sweat was running down my face”

  “Initially in Wales for work this weekend as an exhibitor at Wales Comicon. Was famished and do love a carvery. We turned up stood at the front desk for what felt like a long time so was geared up for disappointment. Turns out they were having staffing issues. Waited an age for my glasses to turn up for the drinks. Then Bonnie came along and stole the show. What an absolute legend she is, cracked a brilliant joke to break the ice and then it was maximum effort from there to say I was impressed is nothing short of an understatement. She took care of us as if we were the only table there. Showed attention to detail, presented herself well and wasn't scared to make eye contact with us when serving. Every Toby's needs a Bonnie. She should blow the staff competition out of the water and and if she doesn't then its rigged. Give Bonnie a raise.”

  “I wanted to order for delivery however all the meat was out of stock (17:45PM), this is not the first time this has happened, it seems to be every Sunday I try to order a carvery for delivery. I called the restaurant and was advised that they only have enough meat for the bookings, which makes no sense as they are still allowing bookings until 8PM. So how could they possibly know how much meat they would need. It seems as though they just don’t want to prepare additional orders and they shut the option off. As this is not the first time, I think this is ridiculous. SORT IT OUT.”

  “Appreciate Sunday is the busiest time but I had a tiny amount of meat and the beef was tough as old boots. Ordered sticky toffee pudding which was dry and virtually no sauce. Maybe they should limit the amount of people being seated at once. Ok for a last minute roast but won't be rushing back.”

  “We went to Toby carvery Newport area, made booking online through the Toby carvery account membership, can do this without!, also you can call through if preferred but best outside of busy times, very easy to do, couldn't be more helpful, been several times and haven't had any problems so far!, book in number plate for vehicle if applicable regarding car parking on the pad by booking in normally with the team's on arrival, always very polite and helpful, as are the chef's on the carvery area's, always cheerful and polite even after cooking in the heat!, as are the bar staff and server's, very knowledgeable and kind, helpful and polite, also those with various disabilities and special needs, never feel rushed or hassled to go even if at busy times!, we go for 12.00 midday as quieter for us usually and cooler before gets very busy!, everything is freshly put out!, price's are great as,well, especially with offer for children and or seniors in holidays!, saving us cooking and washing up in the heat!. Nice to be able to feel relaxed and enjoy a trip out for very nice lunch!”

  “Keeley was really friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. She checked in at the right times and made everything easy. Courtney at the carvery was just as good! generous portions, well-cooked meat, and quick, friendly service even though it was busy.”

  “Food was great today. Potatoes and gravy were spot on! Clare, our server, was superb. Her attitude and approach to us was exemplary. She was always polite and very helpful. She was pleasant throughout our stay. She is a credit to the company.”

  “Server Keeley was great. Food was lovely but it could have been better if I could have had Beef. The server wouldn’t let me have the new beef unless I had scraps of fatty beef that were left combined with new beef. The condiment area was really messy and there was a lady in front of us who had 2 takeaway dinners. There was no where for her to put her tubs and bags so she had to put them on the floor next to buckets and mops that were by a closed door. They could do with having a table there to help when people have purchased more than 1 takeaway”

  “Great experience as far as cooked dinners go. We did a walk in and was seated lucky I suppose. Food was fresh and plenty. Staff were great good value for a belly full. No room for sweet. Food was cooked very well and very tasty.”

  “Kacey was was a wonderful hostess and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the venue this evening. We had the offer of starters and our drinks and menus etc, and within minutes were promptly served with more than generous portions with a choice of five roasts and mountains of fresh vegetables, sauces and gravies and second helpings of the latter. When I was unable to finish all the meat, Kacey swiftly got me a doggy-bag to enjoy the surplus another time. A great night,a wonderful atmosphere and great service, with family members made me feel that Christmas had come early!! Kacey deserves an Employee of the Month bonus in my honest opinion! Highly recommended and will definitely be back soon!! 10 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (out of 5)🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”
