  “what can i say more😍, EVERYTHING IS SOOO GOOD!!! the beef birria? YUM. the buffalo chicken tacco was PERFECT. the service was so good and food came so fast, hot and yummy! I like the interior design, atmosphere, music, food, staff😍🔥, its my first time and definitely will come again and again!, the buffalo wings ? tried a lot here in the UK i can tell that this one here is the TOP 1. the nachos with cheso is unique home made nachos i loved it and it has a hit of lime after taste it was amazing!, and me and my friend really loved it i really recommend it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and guess what? the bathroom smells ssssoooo good! its so so clean i really care about that, toilets are clean and shinny and a box of a LOT of tissues in there, they are really taking good care of everythinggggg!!!!!! lois the cashier was so nice and smiling, polite and welcoming🥰 thank you so much it was a good experience🙏🏻❤️🇲🇽🌮🌯🫔 note : i'm soo picky in food. 1000000/10”

  “Birra Bella at The Punch Bowl is an absolute gem in Newcastle. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The team are incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, which really sets the tone for the whole experience. The food is exceptional — freshly made, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with real care. Whether it’s their incredible nachos, delicious small plates, or the perfectly balanced drinks, everything feels thoughtfully put together. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the quality in every bite. Service is slick, personable, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling rushed. You can tell the staff take pride in creating a brilliant experience for every guest. Birra Bella has quickly become one of the best places to eat and drink in Newcastle. If you’re looking for amazing food, great drinks, and a relaxed, friendly vibe, this is the place to be. Can’t recommend it highly enough! ALSO they are available to hire for events, we’ve used them recently for a special occasion which the team made even more special with such incredible attention to detail from start or end.”

  “Visited here with my partner a couple of weeks ago prior to a movie showing in The Punch Bowl upstairs for Halloween. The food was absolutely delicious and worth the wait, as I'd been meaning to visit here for quite a while. The pork belly tacos were some of the best I've ever had, and the shrimp tacos and loaded fries were almost as good. The price is also not too bad for the quantity and the quality of the food.”

  “Called into The Punch Bowl on Sunday afternoon for a quick refreshment after walking the dog down the Dene. The evening menus were just being put out ready for 5:30 service starting, so we thought we’d treat ourselves to a quick taco. 10/10 for flavour for both the Beef Birria and the Shrimp taco, and we’ll definitely be eating here again. Extra points for having Sale di Mare Moretti on tap, as that was a perfect summer pint too! 🍺”

  “We have been wanting to try this place for ages so we booked a room in Jesmond to stay and enjoy our night. 5 star totally amazing did not disappoint and the food was out of this world. The staff were amazing and we had some sneaky cocktails. Our photos don’t do it justice we will be back soon thank you.”

  “We’ve been a fan of Birria Bella since its opening. We’ve always loved popping in for breakfast after a dog walk (breakfast burritos - yum!!) We were very excited to try the new menu at the new location, the Punchbowl Hotel, and it did not disappoint!! so much so we’ve already ate there twice and they’ve only been open a week! The new additions to the menu mean there is something for everyone! We got a munch box, which we found to be really good value for money, and being able to choose from a selection of tacos was amazing. The buttermilk chicken taco is unreal, and of course the original birria meat taco! The cocktail menu is fab too!! Highly recommend; fabulous food, drink and a lovely atmosphere, and super dog friendly too! Already looking forward to our next trip…..🌮🌯🍴”

  “Are here as part of a group on Sunday afternoon. What a lovely place. Staff friendly and accommodating especially as we had a few pre order mix ups. Tacos were lovely but I’d definitely get some side as well next time as was still a little hungry. The burritos looked amazing and the loaded nacho portion was massive. It’s a great place to chill out really nice atmosphere and I’ll be back without a doubt. Thank you”

  “Been here a couple of times now. The food is wonderful but could do with having a bit of spice ! Hot sauce on the table would be a fab idea. The nachos were so fully loaded and everything felt so fresh. The birra tacos felt authentic but could have done with a bit more spice as mentioned above. Frozen margs were epic. We didn't get offered any more drinks despite being there 2 hours which was disappointing. Unfortunately the chairs are very uncomfortable inside and outside so be prepared if you have any back /hip issues.! I would return but maybe for takeway.”
