About Wylam Brewery
Wylam Brewery is a brewery in Newcastle Upon Tyne, set in an unusual building within Palace of Arts Exhibition Park. The park is large, with a pond and plenty of greenery, and the city centre is within walking distance. Wylam beers are on tap alongside a few guest beers, and real ale is available to sample. The kitchen serves a roast, and the building has seating indoors. The brewery also hosts weddings. A wedding coordinator and a master of ceremonies work on the day, and the room is set up and transformed for the occasion with a PA and sound system. Couples planning a ceremony and reception can therefore handle both in one building. The kitchen caters for allergens, including coeliac-safe gluten free options.

Customer Review Summary
Weddings are the main draw at Wylam Brewery, with most reviewers praising the coordinators who handled planning and the master of ceremonies who kept the day running without being asked. Couples describe the venue as beautiful and transformed on the day, and several say the sound and PA setup timed their playlists perfectly. The food draws repeated compliments from wedding guests, and one couple said guests kept praising it. Close behind is the Sunday roast, where one diner had the Duck Leg Croquette and Topside of Galloway Beef and called the roast top class. Two Sunday visitors suggest booking in advance, and one found the place already filling by midday. Beer gets its own mention, with a good range of Wylam beers on tap plus guest beers, and a fruity, low abv pale ale collab that had sold out in cans. One vendor who works events there calls the space professional and well run. Another reviewer praised the kitchen for coeliac safe gluten free options. One waiter even produced a last four pack of that sold out pale ale for a customer to take home.

“We cannot recommend Wylam Brewery enough. We had our wedding there and from the very first look around to the wedding day, the staff were absolutely brilliant. They were so organised, friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Our main wedding organiser, Mara, was very friendly and very organised and was very easy to our communicate with. Our master of ceremonies, Rob, was incredibly diligent on the wedding day and we really did not have to worry about a thing! The food was also amazing! We really did have the best day of our lives at Wylam Brewery!”

“We had our wedding here in September 2026 and it was truly the most amazing day. The entire process running up to the big day was made easy by Kayleigh and Mara. The day ran so smoothly with the support from Lee and the team. No question was unanswered and no request was too much. Truly the most amazing venue and team. Would recommend every single person gets married here just to experience how wonderful Wylam Brewery is. Thank you, from the Jamesons!”

“We were married at Wylam brewery on 23/11/25 and I cannot rate it highly enough! Firstly a huge thank you to our wedding coordinator Kayleigh who was amazing! Communication was fantastic throughout and attention to detail was second to none. At what can be such a stressful time she made us both feel comfortable and confident in leaving everything in her capable hands! Secondly a huge thank you to Rod our master of ceremony, we couldn’t have asked for a better person his high energy and engagement with the guests was brilliant. The venue and grounds are beautiful and we were left speechless with how the venue had been transformed into something majical…it was exactly what we imagined. If we were to do it all again we wouldn’t change a thing. All staff on the day were brilliant going above and beyond, we honestly can’t thank you enough. The food was exceptional, fantastic options to chose from for your wedding day. We received so many compliments from our guests on how good the food was! Thanks to all staff involved in making our day truly memorable!”
