Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the sticky toffee pudding as the standout, with its gooey sponge and lush toffee sauce repeatedly praised, while the crab arancini and lamb shank curry also earn frequent mention for their rich, balanced flavours. The salmon and pork belly from the Christmas menu are highlighted as exceptional, and the gigantic Yorkshire puddings and burgers draw consistent acclaim. Several note the attentive service, dog-friendly approach, and thoughtful accommodations for dietary needs, with locally roasted coffee and good vegan and gluten-free options also cited. One reviewer reports witnessing a kitchen staff member not washing hands after using the toilet, with the head chef later washing them during the confrontation.

I had a brilliant meal at Phat Forks in Cenarth. Crab arancini - crisp outside, creamy inside and full of flavour. The lamb shank curry was brilliant - the meat fell apart and the sauce was rich but balanced. The sticky toffee pudding was honestly the best I’ve ever had: gooey sponge, lush toffee sauce, spot on. Warm atmosphere, friendly service, and food that feels thoughtful rather than rushed. If you’re anywhere near Cenarth, it’s well worth the trip. I can't wait to go back.

By far and away the best food in the Cardigan area. We had the latest Christmas menu for our latest visit and we were all blown away. The salmon and the pork belly were highlights.

What a hidden gem! Absolutely lovely food and excellent service. The chef even accommodated my wife’s dietary requirements to a T which was massively helpful and made our visit perfect.

Beautiful place nestled away in Cenarth. Gorgeous food and great service, not the cheapest but get what you pay for! Area for the children to play in too. Good veggie, dairy and gluten free options.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
