Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the sea views over the beach and bay, with the setting often paired with a walk along the shore. Coffee and cakes come up close behind, including a caramel latte, cappuccinos with bacon and egg buns, and an Easter hot chocolate described as excellent. One diner calls the homemade mushroom soup piping hot and delicious, and others mention full English breakfasts being eaten around them. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and lovely, and service is described as quick even during a busy Viking festival morning. Dog friendly seating gets a mention, including sausage and ice cream for dogs, and several note plenty of sheltered outdoor tables. The caveats are specific. One reviewer found the coffee very weak and the coffee cake a bit dry, and another says it is not great for vegetarians. One notes few tables inside and a slightly greasy smell from the bacon cooking. Parking for the day was noted as £2.20 by one reviewer, who found four cakes and four drinks pricey.

“popped in here on a whim , lovely staff especially the young girl who helped to serve us who was super polite. Food was brilliant and the caramel latte was lovely. Love how it’s dog friendly also and they even have sausage and ice cream for the doggies”

“A cafe on the NW Coast serving a variety of breakfast choices and lunches. It's right on the shore and there are fabulous views across the bay. The ferry port is immediately left and it's not far from the power station - so keep your camera lense pointed right if you want beautiful scenery. Had bacon and egg buns and cappuccinos which certainly didn't disappoint.”

“Lovely little cafe on the coast, serving good grub and a cup of tea, but I did get the feeling that they weren’t quite prepared for the onslaught of people coming to the Viking festival that morning, they coped well, but it was certainly stressful for them, but hey they steamed through it and hopefully did some great trade that day, because they earned it. Staff friendly and pleasant and service was pretty quick considering.”
