Quick info
About Tuk Tuk Thai
Tuk Tuk Thai is a Thai restaurant at 59 Aylesbury St in Milton Keynes, with a real tuk-tuk inside its Thai-themed dining room, so the setting matches the menu. The kitchen mixes Thai and Chinese dishes. Starters include duck pancakes and chicken satay, which also appears as satay chips. Mains run from Thai green curry and Pad Kee Mao to a lamb shank massaman, and a soup boat is on the menu too. Diners can ask the waitress to adjust the spice level to suit them, and a halal option is available. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Massaman draws the most repeated praise, from a lamb shank version described as flavorful with a generous portion to another reviewer calling it incredible. Close behind are the Thai vibe and decor, including a tuk-tuk inside, and dishes such as the duck pancakes, Pad Kee Maow, stir-fried seafood, a creamy Thai green curry, a soup boat and satay chips. Reviewers also mention friendly, attentive staff and good cocktails. The main caveat is inconsistency. One reviewer finds some dishes very good and others totally bland, with dishes in the same course arriving at different times. Others found the chicken satay dry and the Pad Kra Pow lacking spice, with pork slices instead of minced pork. A few mention the dining room being too warm in hot weather, noise when seated outside, slower service when busy, and difficult parking, which another reviewer disputes. One reviewer suggests asking the waitress for extra spice, and a diner who wanted a halal option said the kitchen threw in extra spice.

“First time visiting with friends, we shared the starters and we then shared all the mains too. The food was amazing, cocktails great, very good price, the atmosphere great too, although in the hot weather a little too warm in the restaurant. Will definitely go again. Thank you ☺️”

“We loved it here, the soup boat was the best soup I've ever had and I've had some stunning soups. The steak was delicious, the massaman was incredible and the satay chips were a great addition. Definitely coming back here”

“The food was great and the staff were incredibly friendly. We were sitting outside the restaurant and it’s a bit noisy but acceptable.”

“First time eating here and it definitely didn’t disappoint us. We had the duck pancakes to start—so tasty! For mains, we ordered the Pad Kee maow and the stir-fried seafood, both packed with rich umami flavour. You really get an authentic taste of Thailand here. The place is beautifully decorated with a true Thai vibe, even featuring a cool tuk-tuk 🛺 inside. Will definitely be coming back again.”

“It's ok here but I find the whole experience lacking. The food can be quite inconsistent. Some dishes are very good and some are totally bland which is disappointing. Meals never seem to come out simultaneously with as much as a 10-15 minute wait during the same course for different dishes. The cooking smells on my clothes when I left the last time aren't great if you're going on somewhere else afterwards.”
