  “I ordered the Big Akhis Meal, but it was served without the bacon. I was only told after the food arrived that bacon wasn’t available. Had I known when ordering, I would have chosen a different burger. The chips were over-fried and tasted burnt, so I had to ask for them to be remade. The burger also lacked its usual flavour, and the patties seemed smaller and were overcooked on this occasion. There appeared to be a new member of staff working, which may have contributed to the issues. I’ve had better experiences here before, so hopefully this was just an off day, but the overall meal was disappointing. Disappointing for £15.50!”

  “Hands down one of the best fast-food spots around! The Chicken Remix and Beef Remix are absolutely amazing, and the loaded fries are packed with flavour every single time. I’ve been coming here regularly for the past year, and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh, tasty, and consistently good. If you’re looking for a great meal, make sure you stop by 5Akhis you won’t regret it!”

  “It was decent, ordered the classic burger, naga chicken and fries. Burger good quality but was little too sweet for me, fries were great, chicken was really tender and juicy, however a bit too tomatoey and not enough naga hit.”

  “I’ve heard a lot about this place from colleagues so i decided to try it a few weeks ago and it didn’t disappoint. The first time I ventured, i ordered the flaming mango wings and the lemon wings. Both were delicious but the flaming mango: the best wings I’ve tasted in a long time. Better than (Nandos wings hehe). Highly recommend. The chips are delicious too.”

  “Visited 5 Akhis express today with some friends, who has paraded about how good this place is and showed me all the social media hype surrounding it. Quite simply one of the worst customer service experiences and below average tasting burger joints, I’ve ever come across. We decided to dine-in and had to wait almost an hour for some burger meals plus desserts. The whole purpose behind an express is that it’s able to turnover food quicker, as it’s smashed Patti’s not gourmet. Anyway the food arrived - it looked ‘aesthetically’ nice - but the chips tasted uncooked, chicken strips were over-cooked, very hard batter and not the best tasting, burgers were not marinated properly, with the meat tasting ‘bitty’. The atmosphere wasn’t the greatest either - tv was really loud, no proper heating, it was extremely cold. The door kept opening every minute, with a cold blast of air coming through. Some other customers nearby felt our pain too. Staff didn’t communicate properly how long orders would take. The queue to order was large and there didn’t appear to be any proper communication between the front of house and the back. My order was mixed up which was frustrating having waited almost an hour. Lesson to be learnt: take anything you see which has been hyped up on social media with a pinch of salt. Serious improvements needed - I will not be visiting again and those friends who took me there are lucky they are friends, otherwise I would’ve disowned them. I’d recommend trying another burger joint, this place was below average.”

  “I’m still shocked at how good the food was here – absolutely blew me away! I ordered the Truffle Burger, the Big Akhis Smash Burger, and the Chicken Strip Remix (Loaded Fries), and every single bite was amazing. The Truffle Burger was rich, juicy, and packed with flavour, easily one of the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. The Big Akhis Smash Burger was next-level – perfectly smashed patties with that proper crispy edge, but still juicy inside and the melted cheese and sauces were absolutely to die for. And those loaded fries? Unreal. Crispy fries topped with tender chicken strips, sauce, and cheese… just indulgent and delicious. On top of the food, the vibe was great and the service was spot on. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS good – but 5 Akhis has officially raised the bar for burgers in Milton Keynes. If you haven’t been yet, you need to go!”
