  “I visited in August. I was appalled at how dirty this place was. The smell was indescribable and were clear signs of ingrained filth, lack of care and maintenance. Clear signs of pest and vermin within the building. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. If you do insist on visiting, I would stick to drinks. You couldn’t pay me to eat there. It needs a deep, deep clean. The staff were inhospitable, and didn’t appear to care. I visited during at lunch time service, the were still the chaos of delivery , with half opened supplies generally strewn liberally across the restaurant in multiple areas. All in all, shockingly bad Save your money. Go anywhere else.”

  “We were served by Lucy tonight on our bottomless brunch and she was excellent took our drinks orders before we were finished so we never had empty drinks. Food was great especially for a bottomless compared to other places I have been to. Would definitely return again!”

  “Went with a virgin gift voucher. Excellent food. Excellent service from the staff. So helpful. Tried the fried custard desert. Well weird but with the sauce it’s superb. Definitely a love or hate situation dessert but happy we tried it. 👍👍👏👏 will be back.”

  “Had afternoon tea with my daughter and we had a great time. The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was excellent. We were very well cared for. The barman even set up a mini heater for us. Great cocktails at 2-4-1. Would return.”

  “Bottomless brunch? More like bottomless patience. We paid for a two-hour bottomless brunch and had the table booked until 6pm, yet staff started trying to push us out 20 minutes early because they wanted the table for another reservation. If you’re charging people for a fixed amount of time, maybe let them actually use it. The “bottomless” drinks were laughable — one drink every 40 minutes completely defeats the point. By the time the next round arrived, we’d practically sobered up and started questioning our life choices. Service was painfully slow overall. We waited an hour for food, and honestly, I wish they’d taken even longer so we could’ve escaped before eating it. Now let’s talk about the food, because wow. I genuinely didn’t know pastry abuse on this level was legal. One item looked like a croissant that had given up on life halfway through baking — dry, greasy, and somehow stale and soggy at the same time. The bacon dish arrived looking like someone had angrily slapped a few slices of ham onto a burnt hockey puck and squirted mustard on it as a final insult. The “fried” item tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed since the previous government. Presentation was equally tragic. The plate looked like a crime scene, with random mustard streaks and sad crumbs scattered around like the chef had lost interest halfway through service. I’ve genuinely seen more appetising meals in petrol stations at 2am. The whole experience felt like being held hostage by overpriced brunch culture: slow drinks, slow food, tiny portions, and flavours that made me wonder if the kitchen staff were actively in conflict with the customers. Would not return unless the drinks became genuinely bottomless and the chef was replaced by literally anyone with access to seasoning and self-respect.”

  “Not a bad restaurant. Lively atmosphere, pretty good service. Small menu so the offerings are limited. The food is good; nothing exceptional. I wasn't crazy about the extremely loud music, though.”

  “This was our first visit and we found this bar to be very welcoming with great decoration and somewhere to have a few cocktails and enjoy the music. Two things let it down; - It is a very cold. - The food is average, at best. We ordered the bird cage of food and it was food you’d buy at a cheap food warehouse.”

  “Lucy was hugely attentive to our bottomless brunch and was so friendly. Although it was quiet initially and got busier, Lucy kept our drinks topped up and advised us of the best places to be! Lucy was polite, friendly and had great character to get our night started!”

  “Drinks and happy hour is good but the food really is poor. Got a Hawaiian rice bowl which speaks for itself in the pictures then paid £8.45 for 2 small skewers with 3 pieces of chicken/chorizo on. We also didn’t get given any cutlery. Pretty disappointing wouldn’t waste your time eating here.”

  “My wife and I visited the Slug & Lettuce in Milton Keynes at around 5pm on a very quiet Tuesday. We were practically the only customers there, which was a pleasant surprise. The venue had recently reopened after some renovations, and the new decor was lovely. The space was well-lit with soft, ambient lighting, and the new interior featured a lot of greenery and flowers, which seems to be the trend at the moment. The wooden centrepiece on the ceiling was a particularly nice touch, with leaves and warm white lights wrapped around it. ​The customer service was excellent. The two staff members on duty were both very polite and efficient throughout our visit. Their friendliness and professionalism really made us feel welcome. ​We found the food to be great value for money. Most main dishes were around £12, which was cheaper than I had expected. My wife ordered the bacon cheeseburger, which was well-presented and tasted fresh, not like a frozen patty. The portion of chips was a bit small, but for the price, it was a fair amount. ​I had the fajita chicken pasta, which was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of presentation. The bright red chillies and spring onion on top made the dish look vibrant and inviting. However, the pasta itself seemed to lack a traditional sauce, and I was worried it would be dry. The sauce, while light and creamy in flavour, was very thin and had pooled at the bottom of the bowl. Despite this, the taste was fantastic. The chicken was very well-seasoned and the chillies gave it a nice kick that was perfectly balanced by the creaminess of the sauce. Had the sauce been a traditional pasta thickness, the dish would have been absolutely amazing. ​Overall, it was a positive experience. The value was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the new decor is beautiful. While my pasta could have used a thicker sauce, the flavours were spot-on.”
