About Revolución de Cuba Milton Keynes

Revolución de Cuba Milton Keynes is a cocktail bar on Savoy Crescent in Milton Keynes, where tables are moved aside after about 10pm to make a dance floor with DJ-style music. Salsa and samba classes run alongside dinner service, so guests can learn the steps while they eat. The kitchen serves tapas plates meant for sharing at the table, including Cubano sandwiches with chips and tropical chicken skewers with pineapple salsa. At the bar, classic Cuban cocktails and a range of rums lead the drinks, and a cocktail master class gives guests a way to learn how the drinks are made. The venue is open daily, and a band plays live music.

Customer Review Summary

Cocktails draw the most praise, from a cocktail master class one rowdy group called a perfect start to the evening to a drink that arrived in a metal teapot with matching cups. Tapas come close behind, with one diner sharing six plates and calling them delicious, and the tropical chicken skewers with pineapple salsa singled out as a winner. Live music and a lively dance floor after about 10pm also feature, and servers and hosts are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. The food gets more mixed comments: the chicken and pork tacos needed a more flavourful marinade, the nachos were so-so, and the cubano sandwich was called a bog standard toasted sandwich with chips. Reviewers also mention a wait before anyone came over for drinks, a slow kitchen, and servers covering many tables alone. One finds the DJ music repetitive, and a samba class made another meal loud and rowdy. Even so, several say they will be back, and one reviewer was most struck by those cocktails served in a metal teapot.

“First time here, food was excellent and service was with a smile! If we didn’t have a theatre thing to go to I would have stayed all evening! We will definitely be back.”

“Service was good. Victoria was on her own and she is very friendly. Kitchen was a bit slow but it left us enough time between courses. They seem to have a samba class at the same time which made it quite loud and rawdy. Food is amazing though so you should go just to taste the food.”

“Katy was really attentive and friendly! The food was good too - good size portions and taste was good. I’ve had better tacos elsewhere - the marinade on the chicken and pork tacos could have been more flavourful and more saucey. The tropical chicken skewers were a winner - great pineapple salsa! The nachos were so-so. But all in all a pleasant meal and really good live music!”

“We came with friends for dinner, it took a while for anyone to come over we had to ask someone for drinks, we had cocktails which were nice. We had the cubano sandwiches which were nice but nothing special just a bog standard Toasted sandwich with chips. There was a band on they were amazing very entertaining and the young lady who served us with food was anastasia she was lovely and very helpful but seemed to have alot of tables to look after on her own.”

“Havana has landed in the heart of the Theatre District, where Milton Keynes comes to life with live music, salsa, classic Cuban cocktails and some of the world’s finest rums. Be prepared to kick it Cuban-style on the dance floor. Or share some authentic Latin-inspired dishes from our Cantina menu in the tapas restaurant. Or even grab a cosy booth for coffee or sip a Cuban cocktail in our heated garden. It’s the island way, you know.”
