Customer Review Summary
The steak pie and the venison stew draw the most repeated praise, with reviewers calling the stew fantastic and well cooked and the pie, along with a chicken and mushroom pie of the day, delicious and reasonably priced. Close behind, the mac and cheese and a simple coffee and cake pairing get singled out, along with a well made cappuccino and a mocha enjoyed on a coffee stop. Several mention quick service despite queues after walking the castle grounds, and dog friendly, spacious seating with an ocean view come up more than once. One visitor did find the cafe too full to get a table on a Sunday and felt the service could be improved given how few staff were managing the crowd, though most describe the queues moving fast and the food arriving hot regardless.

“The venison stew was fantastic, meat was well cooked and tasty. I swapped salad for peas, which it usually comes with. Cappuccino was well made, not burnt. Great view of the ocean, and to top it all off, free wifi is blazing fast!”
