  “This place has significantly gone downhill. Slow service and food was not up to standard Feel ripped off for cold, fatty steak ‘sandwich’ which was nearly £15. Definitely avoid as this was not value for money - been in the past and thought it was really good portion sizes but looks like kitchen team need to look at their menu and put a bit of heart and soul into it. Will not be returning.”

  “If I could give 0 stars… I would. When we first arrived I ordered at the bar for food and drink, we then played the weekly quiz they have whilst we waited, the girl doing the quiz kept mispronouncing words, stopping and it was possibly the slowest quiz I’ve ever played! We got bored half way through and didn’t finish it. Then there was the service, we were waiting over an hour for food before I went to check what was happening! No apology, no ackbowledgement of our wait, the manager just barked at one of the members of staff to check with the kitchen without even looking at me, she came back and told us that a table of 12 had arrived and our food was coming out just after theirs and would be 5-10 minutes, this was a blatant lie as the entire place was empty. In total we waited 1 hr 25 minutes for 2 main meals. When it finally arrived it was possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten, the salmon tagliatelle was literally cream and garlic puree that hadn’t been cooked out, and the ribs were so salty and overdone the whole thing was absolutely inedible. We didn’t get a check back, we didn’t get an apology for the wait, we got nothing… even when my partner tried to make eye contact with the bar staff to try and get them to acknowledge us they would look over and then just carry on laughing and messing around. Finally we had absolutely had enough of waiting for someone to come over and my partner took both of the plates up to the bar stating that if we weren’t going to get a check back then he will come to them and we want a refund for the food. Not once was he asked why, or what was wrong. The manager came over shoved a receipt in his hand and walked off stating the refund would go back onto the card we paid with. It was only partly refunded so again we went up to explain it was both meals and had to fight our case but yet again, no questions were asked, no apology, the service was completely non existent. The manager has had absolutely no training in conflict resolution or complaints and said about 2 words to us in the whole interaction. We will not be returning and I encourage people to steer clear unless you like long waits and rubbish food!”
