About Panda Panda
Panda Panda is a Chinese buffet restaurant in Mansfield where diners eat all they want at the table. The buffet is restocked at regular intervals, and the dishes include satay chicken, sweet and sour and prawns. A range of desserts is on offer, and Chinese tea is served. Staff clear tables while guests go back for more. For a set fee, diners can also fill a box to take home, packing in as much as the lid will close over. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly come for a freshly restocked Chinese buffet, with the satay chicken singled out by one diner as the best they have had, and the prawns and the range of desserts close behind. One reviewer finds the sweet and sour a little too sweet. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, welcoming and attentive, clearing tables quickly while diners choose their next dish. The recurring caveat is size. Several find the selection small, with one noting a complete lack of salads and another calling the spread extremely limited for a buffet. Cleanliness draws mixed comments. Stained walls come up more than once, one reviewer mentions overflowing bins behind the building, and another found the toilet clean with no bad smells. One reviewer reports finding a hair in their food, and another reports severe sickness within an hour of eating. Several close on the takeaway boxes, which diners fill with anything they like as long as the lid closes, bringing portions home for family.

“I really liked it, even the decor (some had complained in comments). I really liked the food don’t get me wrong it’s not the best Chinese food in the world but it’s very well priced Chinese buffet tailored to a British pallet! It was a friendly comfortable environment with nice staff members! I honestly can’t complain though I did find sweet and sour a little too sweet for my taste. I hope to go back again!”

“The 4 star might seem confusing as I rated everything 5 stars, but it is the outside that let's it down, if you arrive from the street behind there are overflowing bins and waste food which are a deterrent but I'm not so sure it is there rubbish. However, there is a great range of food which is regularly topped up and kept fresh and the prices are reasonable. The takeaway boxes are a great deal 😃”

“Would love this to have been my new go to. The service was good and the price was reasonable. However, an hour later I was locked in my own bathroom with terrible sickness and diarrhoea. 18 hours later and im still dying.”

“The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The toilet is clean and there are no bad smells. I didn’t notice any dirt in the restaurant, only some stained walls that could use refreshing. The staff are friendly and quickly clear the tables while you are choosing your next dish. Despite the nice atmosphere, the buffet is very small. I give 3 stars: the food is tasty, but there is a complete lack of salads.😥”
