  “Went on a Friday night so very busy. Service was a little slow but friendly and attentive. Not your usual chicken shop, food quality is good the chicken sandwich is massive. Could have done with a little more sauce and acidity but the slaw is good. Excellent Ceaser salad but pricey at £11. Would recommend.”

  “Chicken was delicious, huge portion and the blue cheese sauce was the best in town. One thing i would change, the garlic chicken and pesto was drenched in leftover oil which made the chicken soggy at the bottom.”

  “Awesome spot, incredible vegan chicken and the hot sauce is actually hot. Will be thinking about the vegan wings for a long time. Staff were super friendly, informative and attentive. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Manchester.”

  “Sunday afternoon lunch, food was knock out, so tasty, kids loved it. The quality of kids menu food was very impressive and made me happy. Kong's beer was also decent. Service was exemplary, couldn't ask for any more from this place, excellent, thank you”

  “Having wanted to sample Kong’s chicken for a while, I finally gave it a go. We got Kong’s BBQ Strips and Garlic & Parmesan Wings. While both went down a treat, they were rather pricey.”

  “Cozy and trendy atmosphere with a really welcoming vibe. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The fried chicken sandwich stood out, juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. Definitely a spot worth coming back to :)”

  “My first visit to Kong’s wasn’t a disappointment. We arrived just after opening and you’d expect the staff to roll their eyes and be a bit annoyed- but no…. Quite the opposite. The staff were attentive and happy to help. I had the house lager, Birria tacos and fries. The signature beer was fruity and refreshing, the tacos were tasty and juicy, the fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will be returning to Kong’s. The staff are incredible and the food is amazing value, considering the typical prices in Manchester. Thank you Kong’s!”

  “Weekday Feast!! Found about here on social media and so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing, great chicken full of flavour in the most generous portions. A good range of drinks also with both alcoholic and non alcoholic options. I had Kongs Signature Sandwich, Garlic & Parmesan Chicken Strips x 6 and Fries (this was more food than needed but couldn’t resist trying it all and stuffed my face). The staff were friendly and genuine - seemingly really taking pride in their work, food and service. 100% recommend going here!! Thank you for the great food!”

  “Great vegan options and very accommodating to dogs! We tried each of their vegan flavours alongside the corn ribs and fries and were happy with everything. Even the plain ‘chicken’ wings were very tasty, and a great way to scratch that itch. If I had to guess, the texture is very similar to some soy-based ‘chicken’ alternatives often found at veggie/vegan Chinese restaurants and so I think they may source a similar product. The fries were well seasoned, and tasted better than their fairly basic appearance might let on. We were warned the Hot N’ Spicy wings were very hot, although if you have a decent spice tolerance you likely won’t have any issue - they’re a far ways off challenge wings or sauces created with hotter peppers. The corn ribs were especially impressive and certainly something I’ll be attempting at home! They had a roast option available and while the other customer’s roasts looked incredible, we were craving fried ‘chicken’ specifically and opted to go for the more straightforward options. Out choices were on the simpler end, they did have options for burgers etc that we didn’t go for but if their simple stuff is any indicator of quality we’re sure the’ll be great. All in all, a solid option if you’re in Northern Quarter and looking for something quick, tasty and vegan.”

  “The food was absolutely delicious! We got the chicken burgers; one vegan one normal, fries and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was SO cheesy. The burgers were crispy, the sauce and slaw was perfect. The staff were the highlight, happy helpful and seemed to really get on well as a team which was nice to see. The man with the green hat and crocs (loved them btw) was especially great, absolutely perfect customer service and made the experience 10/10.”
