About Sark Restaurant
Sark Restaurant is a Mediterranean restaurant at 102 High St in Maldon, serving a Turkish and Mediterranean menu and open daily. The kitchen cooks lamb sarma beyti and boregi, and kunafa closes the meal as the dessert. A lunchtime 2-course menu runs through the middle of the day, so midday visitors have a set option alongside the main menu. A cocktail list sits next to the food for those who want a drink with dinner. Bread arrives at the start of the meal with a spicy salsa.

Customer Review Summary
The mixed grill is the dish diners mention most, with several saying a portion between two was more than they could finish. Close behind are the moussaka, including a veggie version, and the boregi, while others single out lamb sarma beyti, moist swordfish, chicken livers, burgers the kids loved, and Kunafa for dessert. The cocktail list and wine by the glass also earn praise. Service splits. Many describe friendly, attentive staff, and one says the manager let a Christmas Eve group linger. Others report it faded late in the evening, with no coffee because the electrics could not support a singer too, and one Christmas meal diner found staff inattentive and rushing guests out. Smaller gripes include soft drinks arriving half empty and slow lunch food. One party of four found the portions so large the restaurant provided a doggy bag.

“Great service, easy online booking, had the mixed grill struggled to eat it between two. Will definitely return.”

“We only went in because all the pubs were either closed, or packed. However it was a decent choice, food and service were good although be warned the portions are large, this was fine for my son but a bit much for me and the wife. ( They did a Doggy bag). Worth a visit and 4 of us were full for £100 Good value in my opinion”

“The portion sizes were fantastic, the service was lovely, the overall atmosphere had such good vibes and the food was heavenly. Such good value for money, 10/10 would 100% come again.”

“Went here Last night with Work Colleagues for our Xmas Meal, Food was very nice. However the Staff could do with some training I feel. Not very attentive and all seemed quite miserable considering the time of yr! We also felt we were being rushed out at the end of the evening. Which was around 10.30 granted! But me and my husband eat out regularly, and rarely experience this in restaurants. Cheerful chatty staff, make a place.”

“Visited this restaurant on Christmas eve for our annual dinner with friends. What a fantastic restaurant, service was impeccable and the food was delicious, portions are of a generous size. The boregi was my favourite and I would recommend the veggie moussaka which was lovely. Friends went for the mixed grill and they couldn't finish the portion. We were the last group to leave and the manager was kind and did not rush or force us out, instead we we were told to take our time and they patiently waited for us to finish our drinks and food. Thank you we will return.”
