  “Visited Olive Tree in Lytham recently and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed. We ordered the mixed grill, but the steak arrived stone cold, making it difficult to enjoy. The rest of the food was only lukewarm at best, so overall the meal was underwhelming. The service was mixed. One waiter and the ginger lad working there were polite and seemed to be making an effort, but it was noticeable that some of the other staff spent more time standing around than actually serving customers. What really let the place down was the lack of table service and attention to cleanliness. Throughout the entire evening, plates simply weren't being cleared. This wasn't just our table, it was happening throughout both the restaurant and outside seating area. Dirty plates, glasses and leftover food were left sitting on tables for hours after customers had finished eating. The most frustrating part was that the restaurant wasn't even busy. It was actually quite quiet, so there didn't appear to be any reason why tables couldn't have been cleared promptly. By the time we left, most tables still had dirty plates and food remnants on them, which made the whole place feel scruffy and poorly managed. It's a shame because the restaurant has potential, but cold food, lukewarm meals and a lack of basic service standards made for a disappointing experience. Customers shouldn't have to sit surrounded by dirty plates while staff stand around chatting. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back.”

  “Beautiful restaurant set in an old bank with some of the original features. Great atmosphere and the food was spot on. Full of flavour and tasted fresh. I tried the Moussaka with a side Greek salad, and a blood orange mojito cocktail. My wife had the butternut squash orzo. All were absolutely delicious!! Definitely recommend.”
