  “Had a lovely meal at the Queens. We hadn't booked but they managed to fit us in. Lovely ambience. Enjoyed sitting in the beer garden. Hanging baskets were beautiful. Service and food was excellent. Thank you”

  “Went with my wheelchair bound mother midweel and we sat in the garden as a very hot day ordered beer and food which came very quickly. Food is top rate and I'd thoroughly recommend for a leisurely lunch. Myself I had Butty Bach beer which was an excellent pint as well kept in the cellar. Garden area has ample space and is easily accessible for a wheelchair user with good access to the toilets too. Would use again without hesitation”

  “This was a dinner for two. Meals were chicken with leek cream sauce and Cajun chicken. Both meals were very good, tasty, well prepared and presented. Meal prices are up there, around the £20, but they were nice. Drinks were well priced. Overall the restaurant is recommended and I would return.”

  “Staff were really friendly and happy to serve. Food was reasonably priced and excellent quality. Location is perfect if you're browsing the market or high street. The garden is lovely, but inside is just a beautiful. Would definitely come back again!”

  “Didn't stay, had a meal and it was really good. Service was fantastic, very relaxed professional and helpful. Lovely environment and obvious care taken of everything. Really enjoyed a quick dinner stop here and will visit again.”

  “We had an evening meal here. Everything about this restaurant was excellent. The food was delicious, all locally sourced produce and beautifully cooked. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is airy and has a great atmosphere. A great find - highly recommended.”

  “Really lovely pub, who looked after us so well. I booked for a birthday dinner at pretty short notice, but they really kindly fitted us in on a busy mother's day weekend! They were totally happy for us to bring a cake, and actually I forgot candles but they found some, and they put so much effort into making a lovely presentation of bringing the cake out. From the moment we arrived, every staff member really took care of us. Frequently checking on us, getting more drinks, water etc (but not in an over-bearing way). Food was lovely and good range and prices are very generous. Efficient kitchen- everything cooked well and came in a good time frame. Great range of local beers, plus good options of soft drinks. The atmosphere is lovely. Staff appeared to really enjoy working there, which is an excellent sign of a good pub.”

  “Great pub. We had the lunch time special pie and chips for £10. Could have ate 2 of them they were that good. Turkey ham leek plus red cabbage n chips peas. I love pies and this was amazing. Plus good range of real ales.”
