About Travellers Joy
Travellers Joy is an English restaurant on Keeling St in Louth, and its Sunday lunch can go home on proper plates rather than in plastic cartons. The Sunday roast pairs roast beef with gravy. Fish, chips and peas sits on the menu too, and a prawn cocktail opens the meal as a starter. The kitchen cooks home made food fresh. Breakfast comes in small and large options, so the portion can match the appetite. A woman owner runs the restaurant.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast takeaway is the clear draw, with reviewers repeatedly praising the roast beef as tender and perfectly cooked, and the gravy getting special mention from several. Close behind are the Yorkshire pudding, a turkey dinner described as outstanding, and a prawn cocktail starter called fresh. One reviewer singles out a beef pie whose pastry melts in the mouth, while others praise fish, scampi and mushy peas that were generous and proper rather than packet stuff. Reviewers describe everything as home cooked and fresh, call the value competitive, and describe a welcoming lady owner and polite, friendly staff. A small breakfast is described as plenty. No complaints surface, though one notes a short wait for a takeaway order. Several appreciate being served on proper crockery rather than a plastic carton, and one says the meal was delivered to the car and still piping hot at home.

“Everytime I'm home on a Sunday I'll get a takeaway Sunday roast from here they are absolutely delicious, the veg is fresh and the meat is perfectly cooked but the gravy is the best I have tasted since my wife's. The service is great and you feel welcomed and the price is very competitive and all served on proper crockery with generous portions. Cannot fault it !”
