  “I really wanted to give a higher score but there were too many negative aspects. I booked a table for 5.30 and we were told it wasn't ready yet and to wait on the bar which was fine we went to the bar and had a drink. All around the bar they were advertising a spritz summer which had also been advertised on Facebook as having already started. It was basically different spritz on offer at 6.50. I ordered a Hugo spritz and paid with £20 he gave me back 11.50 change. I went back to the bar and questioned this as it was £2 short. He told me the offer hadn't started yet. I went back to the table and found the post on Facebook which clearly stated that it had started earlier that week so I went back to the bar again to which the bar man continued to tell me that the stuff hadn't come in yet and it hadn't started so I pointed out it shouldn't be advertised yet then. No apology received. We waited 30 minutes for our table to be ready. When it came to ordering drinks in the restaurant this also caused confusion. Two of our party had ordered the 2 for £10 brambles only two turned up (we were waiting for 4). Twenty minutes later we had to ask again about the second set. Two people took advantage of the steak offer which had two cocktails included. Only one cocktail turned up, we had to remind the staff three times that we still hadn't received the second one. The food was good but unfortunately because of the issue at the bar and the service with drinks we won't return.”

  “Had the ribs with garlic potatoes. Ribs were overcooked, with some parts being actually crunchy. Very little BBQ sauce, so they could have been any flavour. Garlic potatoes had zero taste of garlic and again, overcooked. Went to use toilets. Wet floors and loo paper on the floor. Very disappointed in my first and last visit, after good experiences in two of the other Bentley bar/restaurants (i.e. Link47 and The Cosh).”

  “I loved this place! It had a great atnosphere, friendly staff and amzing food. I had the chicken stack ehich was lovely. My sister had the spicy chicken noodles and they were to die for 😍 highly recommend this place to any visitors in Derry!!!!”

  “Was here on the 19th April with a group off 16, table was set for 14 and and some how they thought we booked for 15 don't see how this works. Service by far the worst in derry very slow and the servers running out and in indicatoring they are going for a smoke while customers are all waiting for they food and even place an order. food only gets a 2 out of 10 very poor and no taste and I only got a burger. Needs to improve massively. Looks like they only care about the bar out back maybe for the jazz festival coming up. If you want better food mc Donald's has three restaurants in the town and by far cheaper”

  “Absolutely excellent. Food and service both 5 star. We availed of the steak deal - sharing platter, 2 x 10oz sirloins, 2 sides and 2 sauces for £44.95. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were so tender. Highly recommend - we will definitely be back. Thankyou!!!”

  “Ate in The Embankment recently while staying nearby. The restaurant was packed on the Saturday night we ate there. It was a bit Smokey but that’s just from the open kitchen. Got seated and drinks came quickly, ordered and served fast. We had Louisiana Chicken,Rump Steak and garlic potatoes was all delicious and then a beautiful dessert. Staff were really jolly and friendly and attentive. Look forward to visiting again.”

  “Menus (there are up to three) are somewhat difficult to navigate. Flavor is great but style is kind of all over the place. If you have menu and choice anxiety, may need to prepare or skip this place. For those that are in for flavor and larger portions, this is a good spot.”

  “We visit Derry a couple of times every year but this was our first time eating in The Embankment. From start to finish I can't fault the experience. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing, very tasty and large portions. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch. Mr Bentley Group should thank and reward this group of workers at The Embankment”

  “Enjoyed our visit here for the most part. The food was really good, also the cocktails. Would come again. Only down side was one of the waitresses was a bit irritating, randomly belting out lines of songs she liked (badly) and at one point was rummaging around in her hair looking for "bird shit", got another waitress to look and then went back to serving without washing her hands 😕 very odd.”
