  “I have been attending the Tuesday Latin Collective at Sway Bar for months and have always enjoyed the event. However, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. Two of my friends purchased drinks at the bar, while two others asked for plain tap water. They were told they would have to pay for it. Charging people for tap water at a dance event held in a hot, crowded venue, where attendees are physically active for hours, is unacceptable in my view and sends the wrong message about customer welfare. Access to drinking water should not be discouraged in an environment where people are exercising and can easily become dehydrated. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I hope the venue reviews this policy so that everyone’s health and wellbeing are prioritised.”

  “They advertised happy hour 5-7pm and posted on instagram that they were doing happy hour for the football game. When we arrived I was charged full price, I asked them why as the happy hour menu was sat on the bar, and they just said they weren’t offering it. Feels misleading and we won’t come back. £7 for a bottle of alcohol free beer. In addition the football was far too loud.”

  “Me and my friend bought two 10£ tickets for the semi-final match, which unfortunately not included neither beer, food nor even chairs, we need to stand for the whole match. When i asked the staff what‘s the difference between 10£, 8£ and 6£. The staff said it would be for the seat, but at the end nothing happened, like a scam.”

  “I came with 3 of my friends yesterday for the Latin Bad Gyal night and We were involved in a mini stampede of about 1000 people, we were stuck in it for about ten minutes and we were struggling to breathe. I felt myself being crushed with immense pressure, I have sustained severe mental and emotional pain as I am a chronically ill person who has been involved in a fatal stampede a few years back which I still have trauma and injuries from. I left a comment about the crush on their instagram and they deleted it, lacking accountability. Do not come here as their crowd management is extremely poor. There is clearly barely any money invested into the health and safety of partygoers as it took about ten minutes for something to be done ahout the crush. the people who bought tickets for the “cheesy pop party” should have never been allowed entry into the “bad gyal Spanish” party without a valid ticket. This COULDVE been avoided with just one simple action of checking tickets before someone enters the room. I noticed a private hire room had security in front of it ensuring that people do not enter. So why COULDNT the same be done for the Spanish room? I ended up going home 15 minutes after entering the club, it was a waste of my time, money and effort as I spent a lot of money getting to and from the club. Me and my friends are formally requesting compensation and a refund please as it was a waste of our time and money. I will be including further details in an email. If you don’t take any action, I will be escalating this case to a solicitor.”

  “Worst service EVER! After passing the 30-day non-cancellation period, they began changing previously agreed terms — including last-minute PAT test demands, rejecting approved confetti, and contradicting themselves about guest lists. Mid way through the event, security stopped the party midway and forced all guests outside for ID checks, which was extremely embarrassing and completely ruined the atmosphere. Security told us this was because the venue didn’t want to pay for them to start earlier. Guests left as a result. Bar service was also very slow, with long wait times all night. With only one person working at the bar the majority of the night no matter how much demand there was. I have since made a formal complaint to the venue as well as the general manager and been ignored, my £600 deposit has still not been returned either. Very disappointing experience and poor handling afterwards.”

  “19/3/26 night, I met up with some friends at this place. It has a nice, spacious setting with football on the screens. We wondered why it was so quiet on a Thursday night. First, we waited for the bartender who was away smoking. When he finally came to take our order, he suddenly left because he said his boss was calling him. My friend waited patiently, so we decided to give it another chance. On the next round, I went to the bar again, but he was nowhere to be found. When he finally returned, he looked upset and said he couldn’t understand my accent — I’m a Spanish speaker. Sorry for this I guess … He then rudely corrected me every time I repeated my order. At the end, I asked for his name, and he responded, “Why do you want to know my name?” — clearly knowing I was about to write this review. Now I understand why this place was so empty. With service like this, they should seriously consider the bartender performance.”

  “I booked my birthday party at THE HIDE on Thursday with James and his department, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first message, James and his team were incredible professional, friendly, and always available (even late at night!) to answer any questions. On the day itself, they were present, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. James went above and beyond to make me feel special, and my friends had an amazing time. The sound system was excellent, the vibe was great, and even though other events were happening in the venue, it never interfered with mine. If anything, I’d say my party was the best one there 😉. Huge thanks to James and the entire team you truly made it a night to remember. I really appreciate you all!”

  “Food was very good. I am a vegetarian, although they have less vegetarian options, but all the vegetarian dishes, which I had was good. One complain...their brucetta was not a bruschetta but a bread...that was a big disappointment! Staff was good...though we had to wait half an hour for our drinks.”

  “Good sized rooms and dance floors and seating. Went for a birthday. Lovely to get a Cake , Donoughts nd Bottle sparkler for the Birthday Queen. Good music and side room with bit live performance added nice touch. Bring extra cash for cloak room ( definitely not cheap)”
