About Seven Dials Market

On Earlham St, Seven Dials Market spans two levels of micro-restaurants, a bar, a bakery, and a bookshop, with a stage in the hall for live music and DJ performances. Food is collected directly from individual stalls, some using buzzers so customers can step away while waiting, while drinks can be ordered and brought to the table. The downstairs area offers large communal seating, and upstairs eateries and bar spots overlook the main hall below. Among the wraps and mezze on offer are the Cauliflower Wrap, Lamb Wrap, and Meat Mezze, part of a menu spanning 82 dishes across the market's vendors. It operates on a walk-in basis and opens daily, with tables often hard to come by at busier times. The entrance is step-free for those with mobility needs, dogs are welcome throughout, and the market offers both takeaway and delivery for eating off site.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the variety of stalls under one roof, which suits groups with differing tastes. Dishes singled out include loaded hash browns, a focaccia dirty bagel, pizza, dumplings and tacos, which one reviewer calls the best food in the market. Others mention hot chicken with buffalo sauce and a warm red velvet cookie from a dessert stall. The burger and steak stalls fare worse, with reviewers calling them pricey and underwhelming, and one describing a philly cheesesteak as bland with too little cheese. Seating is the recurring complaint. Reviewers describe hovering while eating, struggling to find a table for four over a bank holiday weekend, and a hall that was full by early evening. Several call prices high, drinks in particular. One objects to a card machine that prompts for a tip, and another says a server took a while to notice them and that the toilets need more attention. Reviewers like that drinks can be ordered to the table, though food still has to be collected from the stalls.

“Very cool place to grab a drink and hang out with some friends. There are lots of options for food, and lots of seating options. Tables have QR codes that you can use to order drinks to your table.”

“Went for a dinner, enjoyed the lively atmosphere with live music. Huge variety of cuisines to choose from. Table service for drinks worked perfectly. The only negative thing - it was too hot inside, so if you ever come about during hit evening, try to secure spot outside.”

“A lovely market in the heart of Covent Garden. I haven’t personally tried the food, so I can’t comment on the quality of the dishes, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the concept. The market offers a great variety of food options, with different cuisines all in one place, from Lebanese and Greek to Italian dishes, Asian flavours, burgers and more. It’s a nice way to explore different choices without having to commit to one specific type of cuisine. There is also a nice seating area downstairs with tables, as well as a stage where performances take place, which gives the space a lively and welcoming atmosphere. I think it’s a great option if you’re in Covent Garden and feel overwhelmed by the amount of choice, or if you’re short on time and want something casual rather than a full sit-down lunch. A convenient and enjoyable place to stop by.”

“This rustic Brooklyn-chic food hall in the middle of London is a must visit for New York expats missing home. Bleecker Burger seems to be the star of the show. Expect to see lots of couples walking hand in hand. You could almost describe the atmosphere as romantic.”

“Visited Seven Dials Market for the first time. The air conditioning was not working, and it was quite uncomfortable sitting inside because of the heat. I was served by staff named Gaurav at the bar. He helped me with drink suggestions and guided me with the food options. Good service from him.”
