Customer Review Summary

The soft play areas split by age, from the ball pit for under twos to the climbing frame and slide for older children, are the main draw, with several reviewers also praising the outdoor bouncy castles when the garden is open. Close behind, the cafe's cappuccino and dishes like burgers earn praise, though others describe the eggs Benedict as soggy and toastie portions as thin for what is charged, a complaint that recurs around pricing generally, including entry costs for a baby too young to walk. Overcrowding is a repeated concern, with parents describing older children colliding with toddlers in the age-specific zones and weekend parties turning the halls chaotic. Multiple reviewers report the air conditioning failing during hot weather, leaving both play halls and dining areas uncomfortably warm, and one describes the drinks fridge being switched off during a birthday party. One reviewer describes the baby area's equipment as mouldy and in poor repair. Staff are called friendly by most, though one recounts a refund after a child was scolded for playing in the wrong section, and another found reception impersonal when leaving.

“Visited for the first time with my 4 y/o and baby. For me the most important thing is hygiene and customer service. It was not a particularly busy day, all equipment and facilities seemed to be clean. Good food and staff were all friendly👍 We will definitely be back😊”

“⭐ Absolutely unacceptable I visited Rainbow Soft Play in Cockfosters yesterday, when it was 31°C outside, and the heat inside was unbearable. Out of three air-conditioning units, one was broken and the other two were clearly not cooling the place properly. A few small fans made absolutely no difference. All the children were sweating. I also had my baby with me, who became so hot and sweaty that we had to leave in a rush because the baby simply couldn’t cope with the heat anymore. Later, it actually felt cooler outside than it did inside! We specifically chose an indoor soft play on such a hot day so the children could play somewhere comfortable and cool. Had I known the conditions would be like this, I could have chosen somewhere else. On top of this, prices have increased and parents are now charged around £3–£3.50 entry, despite already spending money on coffee, snacks and food inside. If we are paying to enter, we have every right to expect basic facilities and a comfortable environment. Properly working air conditioning in this heat is the bare minimum. Absolutely unacceptable and extremely disappointing.”

“I took my grandchildren for soft play, it was not busy, the kids had lots of time to play. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I couldn't book online, when I called, the staff advised us to come anytime as it was not busy and let us stay for more than 2 hours. We ordered Chicken nuggets and Pizza for the kids and it came with chips and vegetables and it was yummy. I would recommend this place and it was really worth for the price.”

“I took my niece here for the first time and unfortunately found the experience quite underwhelming. The soft play area was smaller than expected, and there was not a great deal to keep her entertained for very long. After around half an hour, she had already started to lose interest. The café had a reasonable selection, but the food was fairly basic for the price and took quite a while to arrive. The venue was reasonably clean overall, although some of the play equipment and seating looked a little tired and could do with updating. It may be suitable for younger children who only need a small area to play in, but I did not feel it offered particularly good value for money. My niece enjoyed parts of the visit, but probably not enough for us to return.”

“If you come early hours, it is very nice. Very clean, not busy. However, I am not sure how it would be like when it is crowded because the play area isn't that big.”
