About Ferny Hill Farm
Ferny Hill Farm is a cafe in Barnet, set on a working farm site that also holds a farm shop and a boutique shop. Dogs are welcome inside the cafe, so visitors can bring them along while they eat. The breakfast menu includes an omelette, poached eggs and a baguette with salmon. Vegan options are available, with a selection of plant milks. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the breakfast and the friendly service at this farm café, naming the omelette, poached eggs, scones, and an avocado and red onion toast. Close behind are the view and the terrace, along with the welcome for dogs, which several mention, and the high chairs for children. One reviewer singles out the vegan options and plant milks, and another mentions the ice cream and the farm shop. The complaints are specific. One long-time regular says breakfasts have recently come out greasy and sometimes cold, that seating gets disorganised when busy, and that the milkshake machine has long been broken or short of ingredients. Another reviewer describes mixed-up orders, forgotten drinks, and a cold, soggy baguette, though they found the salmon portion generous. Others describe staff who found a quiet table for a nervous dog and a window seat for a special occasion booked by phone.

“A slightly refined greasy spoon type café. Food is good and staff are friendly. Not particularly easy to access on foot from the London Loop as this bit of Hadley Road is not pedestrian oriented.”

“What a great café. It was busy on a Saturday late morning and I can see why, the food was delicious and the service was great. Lovely outside terrace to relax. It was even possible to bring my dog in which is very convenient. They have a farm shop and boutique shop. Lovely place I'll be going back there for sure.”
