About Hammerton Brewery
Hammerton Brewery is a family-run London brewery, founded in 2014, with its taproom at 149 Roman Way behind Barnsbury station. The team has brewed over 7 million pints since opening, and the taproom pours a big range of its own beers on tap, covering lagers, sours, IPAs and stouts. Hammerton N7 IPA and Panama Creature IPA sit among the IPAs, and the dark beers include a peanut butter stout. Pizzas come out alongside the beers, with vegan options on the menu. Inside, the taproom has a mezzanine level, and TV screens show the sport. The taproom opens Wednesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the most frequent draw at this taproom. Reviewers call the vegan pizzas the best they have had, ask for more of the garlic oil, and describe the pizzas as perfect for sharing. Close behind is the beer range on tap and in cans, from lagers and sours to IPAs and stouts. Individual reviewers name the Panama Creature IPA, the N7 IPA and a peanut butter stout. Several describe friendly, chatty staff and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and one reviewer who ordered by mail praises the great communication and fast delivery. The one low rating came after a server who was described as moody and borderline confrontational, with eye rolling when they could not hear the customer. Another reviewer notes the brewery is tucked behind Barnsbury station and may be difficult to find. Reviewers also mention the mezzanine level, TV screens showing sport, and a courtyard that is a sun trap with shade available.

“Had visited the other day and was appalled by the service. Would have been 5 stars had it not been for the rude staff member. Had a woman serve us who was so moody and borderline confrontational. Small woman with black hair. Maybe if you cannot hear what I’m saying try not to get too mooted and roll your eyes…”

“Lovely brewery! With a mix of indoor/outdoor seating and pizzas, it is a great place to visit. The peanut butter stout was especially interesting to try. It is tucked behind Barnsbury station so might be a little difficult to find but definitely worth a trip.”
