About Battersea Brewery

Battersea Brewery is a brewery and taproom in London, set under the railway arches at 12-14 Arches Ln next to Battersea Power Station. The taps pour its own beers alongside guest bottles, including Belgian beers, and the keg beers are joined by wine and spirits. Beer comes in three sizes, and a tasting paddle of four one-third pours lets visitors sample several beers in one round. The snack menu covers cheese toasties, a sausage roll and hummus with warm flatbreads. Outside food is welcome, even when the kitchen is closed, so visitors can bring their own meal and stay for the beer. Seating is spread across the ground floor and an upstairs area. Brewery tours are available for anyone who wants to see where the beer is made.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers come mainly for the beer, praising the variety of their own brews, from pale ales and lagers to rich stouts, plus guest bottles including several Belgian beers. Flights of four one-third pours and three glass sizes let drinkers sample widely, and one suggests starting with half pints because some are quite strong. Close behind is the setting under the railway arches by the power station, with outdoor seating, good music and friendly staff. Cheese toasties, a warm sausage roll with flaky pastry and hummus with warm flatbreads draw praise, and several note that outside food is allowed, including when the kitchen is closed. The sandwiches are the main complaint: one reviewer describes a burnt chicken sandwich and calls both sandwiches they and a friend ordered disappointing, though a replacement arrived. One reviewer suggests booking a table at busy times. A tour of the brewery, with the pub's Jack Russell around to be fed a treat, rounds out one visit.

“Great place in Battersea...excellent brews and you can take in food when the kitchen is closed.”

“5* for the beers. 1* for the sandwiches. The chicken sandwich I ordered was burnt. Credit to them as they gave me a new one which was better. But both that and my friend's sandwich which was another option was not good. This is a really good brewery, but they should review the menu because those sandwiches were disappointing.”

“super cool spot right near the iconic power station, very helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. banging sandwiches and they also allow you to bring in food from alternative venues, great for those with picky eaters. beer, wine, spirits, they’ve got the lot. quirky little brewery, definitely recommend a tour of the brewery especially when the pub jack russel, rocco, is around (quite a cheeky boy) loves a little treat and a run around. tunes on top. 5🌟”

“Excellent friendly tap house with a good variety of keg beers, bar snacks and outdoor seating. In the shadow of the power station under the railway arches. Try the tasting paddle and the cheese toasties, they complement each other well. Relaxed atmosphere but book a table at busy times as it is very popular.”
