Customer Review Summary
Battered cod and haddock draw the most consistent praise, repeatedly described as crisp and cooked to perfection, with the pea fritter singled out by several as excellent or the best they've had. Chips come up again and again as crisp and fluffy, and the curry sauce selection and homemade tartare sauce get specific mentions, along with the mushy peas noted for a sweet taste. Staff are called friendly, welcoming, and hardworking even during a busy, hot service. One reviewer's experience broke the pattern, finding the battered fish dry and inedible in parts at £12.50, despite praising the staff. Another found portions smaller than expected for the price, though still enjoyable, and suggested including a lemon slice in takeaway boxes. One group recalls the shop feeding twenty five hungry Scouts after camp, with everyone left happy.

“Lived up to the hype. Great chips and the pea fritter was excellent. Highly recommend, staff friendly and helpful. Caters for vegans too. 👍”

“Amazing staff working incredibly hard in thirty degree heat and with a smile on their face whilst people were queuing out of the door. If I was reviewing them and not the quality of the food it would be a solid five gold star review. The chips were good but not great. The battered fish was poor. Way too dry and inedible in parts. Perhaps I was unlucky but at £12.50 my expectations weren’t that high anyway. Lovely premises.”

“Fantastic food and great service! They fed 25 very hungry Scouts after a great camp in Llanrwst, and everyone was happy. Friendly staff, generous portions, and delicious fish and chips. Highly recommend!”

“You can't really give atmosphere points to a take away shop, but the gluten free haddock & chips were crisp and hot and delicious. Forgot to take a photo because I was too busy eating. My husband enjoyed his not gluten free cod & chips too. Fast service, and very reasonably priced.”

“Lovely fish and chop restaurant, modern clean and tastefully decorated. Pea fritter was best I have ever eaten, choice of 3 curry sauces and a lovely homemade fish cake to note. We were early and were the only customers but music cheered the place up and the AC was well received on a scorcher of a day. The lady that served us was friendly, efficient and relaxed.”
