  “Great service, but the worst chips ever. Doesn't matter if they're warm ups or cooked fresh, they're always hard enough to cut the roof of your mouth, no matter how much you try soaking them in sauce. Used to be a top class chippy, but seems to have lost its heart, the food on the whole, has gone awful!”

  “We visited here searching for a new chippy on a Saturday night. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, I can’t lie it was very watery and tasteless. There was a good amount of chicken but sloppy, and just about cooked. The sauce itself was very tasteless with no substance or flavour. My partner got the chilli chicken it was similar consistency with same chicken, good amount again but watery. His had more flavour as there was a lot of fresh garlic and chilli but the chicken was still soggy and just about cooked and stringy texture. The chips were awful. The type no amount of salt and vinegar can fix. The staff were nice the man cooking the chips was very happy he was great. Kids willing to work too was nice to see them get opportunities. But the food flavours just weren’t there unfortunately”

  “Friendly service, reasonable delivery time and tasty hot food. The vast majority of Chinese Take Aways in this area are pretty rubbish. Melling fish bar was genuinely nice. Will definitely order from here again.”

  “Good people good service decent food when buying in the shop. At the time of writing the best chips around these parts. Delivery took far too long over two hours. Obviously down to popularity but, two hours really? I'd given up and cooked a meal by the time it arrived”

  “Gone down hill, delivery took 1.5 hrs and one of the main meals was MISSING!!!! No SSC! Called them back and the lad said he’d get me just that meal sent out.. so I either let the food I have go cold and wait even longer or share what we have and have less… I went for share what we had so I said I’d have a REFUND for the missing meal… he said ok I’ll get a driver to drop it off when he’s next out…! STILL WAITING!!! From 3 weeks ago! Feel ripped Off! As I spent £30 on 1 meal between 2!! Really poor service”

  “Fantastic service each and every time. The staff remember your name, which is nice, and are very friendly. Been going here regularly since moving into the area about 3 years ago. Never had an issue and have had lots of different meals from here. Si and the team are great!”

  “Pros Nice chips. Fish is nice and flaky Cons Rude lady working behind the counter. Mushy peas are actually not mushy. Gave us the wrong price over the phone then it was double when we got there.”
