About Elsie & Teddys Cafe

Breakfast drives the menu at Elsie & Teddys Cafe, a cafe on Longview Drive in Liverpool. The full cooked breakfast arrives with bacon, sausage, fried eggs, hash brown, mushrooms, beans and toast, and it comes in different sizes, from a small plate to a big one, with a tea or coffee alongside. A veggie breakfast runs next to the meat versions, and sandwiches fill out the rest of the board, including cheese and onion on brown bread. Orders can be packed into a box for takeaway or sent out for delivery, so the food travels for eating at home or at work. Tables work on a walk-in basis rather than by reservation, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without a threshold to manage. The kitchen runs daily.

Customer Review Summary

The complaints concern takeaway orders. One reviewer says a big breakfast arrived looking dropped and scooped back in, missing an egg and black pudding, and that a promised replacement never turned up after a phone call. Another waited an hour for a delivery that came with no food in the box. Both of these are one-star accounts, set against otherwise warm feedback from people eating in. The most detailed praise ends with a reviewer sending thanks for a plate of bacon, sausage, hash brown and toast.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Breakfast So Powerful It Altered My DNA I arrived at this humble local café expecting little more than sustenance. What I received instead was a spiritual awakening served on a white plate. The bacon was crisp enough to make angels weep, yet tender enough to restore my faith in humanity. The sausages glistened with the kind of perfection usually reserved for renaissance paintings. The fried eggs sat majestically atop the feast like twin suns illuminating a dark and hungry world. The hash brown? Immaculate. Golden, crunchy, and possessing a texture so divine that I briefly considered proposing marriage to it. The mushrooms had clearly been sautéed by someone with an intimate understanding of joy itself, while the beans and ketchup provided a rich, comforting embrace akin to being reunited with a long-lost lover at a railway station. And then there was the toast. Thick. Buttery. Unapologetically stacked. A monument to carbohydrate excellence. By the final bite, I was no longer simply eating breakfast. I was experiencing art. A symphony of pork, potato, egg, and bean conducted with extraordinary precision. If this café ever closes, I fear society may never recover. 11/10 – historians will speak of this breakfast for centuries. Yours in eternal gratitude, – Gibby xxx”
