  “We came down from Nottingham with the family and had such a lovely experience. The atmosphere was really chilled and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We were celebrating my little sister’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised her with a birthday cake, then had her stand up while they sang to her with sparklers - such a lovely touch and a really memorable experience for her. 🎂✨ The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and the managers were lovely too. A special mention to Mia and Carrie who was absolutely great and helped us with everything we needed. They were so kind and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back again. Thank you for making my sister’s birthday so special! ❤️”

  “Enjoyed a good meat feast here on our first visit to such a place.. added bonus was Kids eat free in the summer! Couldn’t fault it, nice inside, staff were friendly and a bit of theatrics with the food coming out.. my Ukrainian guests loved it also.”

  “I recommend paying a visit to this place, atmosphere really chill and location found in Liverpool one terrace at the very end of the terrace close to John Lewis. Miriam was amazing at explaining anything and giving recommendations aswell. We had Focaccia as our starter and it was a nice fresh and soft meal really nice. Then we had the evening grill offer for £20.99 and it was really good and filling. Really recommend There was not any waiting time all on right time.”

  “Lovely evening Grill mixer, with an option to eat as much as you like for an extra £8. Promotion ‘kids eat free’ Bento Box kids meal was amazing with the portion being extremely generous. Steaks were a little bit fatty. Would return again.”

  “Ordered from too-good-to-go. Basically got an entire box of assorted meat. Beef patties, chicken wings and sausages. Shame the beef patties weren’t seasoned. Wings were good though, coated with Peri peri sauce. Really liked the sausages. Very generous with the portion too.”

  “Went to Smoke & Dough with the family today and it was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the evening grill meal. When it arrived, the cabbage and some of the meat had a really strong fishy taste. I don’t mean “slightly unusual” – it genuinely tasted and smelled like salmon. I mentioned it to the staff and the response was poor. The guy didn’t apologise and instead repeatedly told me that they don’t sell fish. He spoke to the kitchen and came back reiterating that they don’t sell fish, before explaining how the cabbage was made. This went on for a few minutes before he very reluctantly offered to bring out more meat (he didn’t actually specify what he was going to replace), but by that point the experience was ruined and I had zero confidence that any replacement would be any better. The issue could have been handled so much better. A simple apology and a genuine effort to resolve the problem would have gone a long way. Putting that aside, the service throughout the meal was poor and the food was mediocre at best considering the price. The steak looked and tasted like the cheapest cut they could find, the non-fishy elements of the meal were disappointing, and by the end I honestly couldn’t wait to leave. Avoid at all costs!”

  “I took my husband here for a belated birthday treat on our holiday to Liverpool. We loved the food! The service was perfect and had friendly staff, especially Jess. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and I told them it was my husband’s birthday and they did a great celebration for him with a sparkler in the cake, a birthday board and got everyone to sing. We hope another Smoke & Dough opens up near us!”

  “I booked a large group of 14 for my partner Alex's birthday and I cannot fault Smoke and Dough. From their attentiveness before our booking with well timed confirmations over the phone to the service we received on the day. It was a perfect experience! A huge shout out to our server Anjana (a fellow reptile mom!) 🙌 she was absolutely amazing - from helping with the menus for guests with dietary requirements to giving thorough information on the grill - it was all spot on! The surprise birthday celebration was also a special highlight ✨️ along with the social media team wanting to interview us too! The whole group had nothing but lovely feedback on the food, flowing blue lagoons and the staff 💙 Thank you so much to everyone at Smoke and Dough Liverpool - you all made the occasion fabulous! We highly recommend and we will be back for that polish sausage 😀”

  “Just had an amazing experience at Smoke & Dough, our first visit but won’t be our last. Service was superb, swift but not rushed and incredibly friendly. Unlimited grill was amazing, food was cooked to perfection and staff were ready to arrange more without even asking, this made for a pleasurable experience. As it was our anniversary the staff did make a fuss of us and gave us a good giggle which was just the icing on the cake!! Speaking of cake…. The sticky toffee pudding is on another level, order it, you won’t regret it!!”

  “Had such a great experience here for my boyfriend’s birthday! The food was really great, lots of meat good selection and very good value for money. We had a cocktail each as well, the passion fruit martini it was delicious. The service was excellent, our server Anaja was super lovely and brought over a surprise dessert for my partner’s birthday it was very appreciated :) Would definitely recommend for food and great service”
