  “We celebrated Mum's 70th in the lounge with work friends and it was brilliant. Seanan and Scott looked after us perfectly, the food was delicious, and everyone felt genuinely included and were allergies handled with real care. It was a perfect night, thank you. We will be back for sure!”

  “We had a wonderful meal. The croquettes and the Korean Chicken were lovely to start. The steak was seasoned and cooked beautifully and the fish was delicious! Would highly recommend the Club 55 Rosé and the Prosecco. The staff were lovely. Aarti was very attentive and Isaac and Spike were very welcoming. We had a great time, thank you!”

  “Booked bottomless brunch for bank holiday with my partner. The staff were extremely attentive. We were worried as some places in the past haven't gave the full drinks experience with bottomless and cheaped out on the drinks- its the opposite here. Our server Dan made sure we were topped up regularly with drinks. The manager also visited our table regularly helping out as it got busier. We felt we were never forgotten regardless of how busy the terrace was on a busy day! The burger was also lovely, so filling and flavourful. The Korean chicken was so crispy and fresh. I would 100% reccomend as good value for money- we will be back.”

  “The food was delicious, special shout to the romesco sauce with the red prawns and the chunky chips, crispy outside and fluffy inner. Ice cream needed a wafer but that was excellent too.”

  “We visited Restaurant Bar and Grill in Liverpool after enjoying a nice meal at one of the sister restaurants in Chester. As it was New Year’s Eve we made a reservation at the an available time slot, which was 3pm. On arrival the restaurant looked really nice and was well decorated for the festive season. As we entered we approached the hostess who explained that our table was available though the welcome felt a little frosty. As we were walking towards our table we were abruptly told that the table must be returned by 4.45pm as it was going to be a busy evening. This was surprising given that the restaurant was quite empty at the time of arrival. We were also a little surprised to be seated at the far end of the restaurant however the table and seating area itself were nice. Not long after sitting down we were greeted by one of the many servers who looked after us during our visit. After receiving the menus we placed our drinks orders and shortly afterwards ordered our food. We chose the sourdough bread with butter to share as an appetizer. For mains we went for the sirloin steak with beef dripping chips and the fish and chips. We did have to ask what fish was being served as it was not stated on the menu and thankfully it was haddock which is a personal favourite. We also ordered cauliflower cheese and glazed carrots as side dishes. Our appetizer arrived fairly quickly and the sourdough bread was served on a nice presentation board with five slightly toasted slices. We were offered olive oil and balsamic vinegar which we accepted and this was very nice although the toasted bread did not work particularly well with the oil. A short while later our drinks arrived which felt a little slower than expected but they were enjoyable and worked well with the appetizer. After around five to ten minutes of eating our appetizer and before we had finished our mains arrived with a different server. We explained that we were not quite ready and would prefer to finish our appetizer first. Another waiter then approached and apologised for the confusion but explained that as we had only ordered an appetizer it was normal to serve the mains while it was still being eaten. This was not our expectation or experience in any other British restaurants and it had not been explained when ordering either. Once finished a few minutes later we asked for the plates to be cleared and for the mains to be brought back. The food returned promptly but unfortunately the delay meant the temperature had dropped and it was not to the standard we would have expected. Even the chips were cold which could easily have been replaced. That said the sirloin steak itself was very nice and the peppercorn sauce was excellent and added great flavour. The haddock was also very good quality with a lovely batter. The batter was a little chunky for my personal preference as I prefer something lighter but it was still very enjoyable. Overall the experience was mixed. The service was not what we were expecting and we found ourselves talking more about the service issues than the food which is a shame as the food itself is good and could have been excellent if served at the right temperature. It may simply have been a bit of bad luck on the day. It is a lovely restaurant with good food and perhaps on another visit the service would match it better.”
