About Dragon House
Dragon House is a Chinese takeaway at 41 Redwood Dr in Lincoln, set up for collection. Payment for collection is cash only, so customers bring cash when they pick up an order. The menu includes salt and pepper ribs, chicken chow mein and special curry fried rice. The owner points to the most recently uploaded set of seven white-background menus as the current menu, which makes those images the place to check dishes before ordering.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise hot, flavourful takeaway, with sweet and sour ribs described as beautiful and still piping hot on arrival. Close behind are the Dragon House curry and special curry fried rice, followed by Singapore rice and special chow mein, which one diner called hot and very tasty. Others mention tender meat, plenty of flavour, good portions and orders ready on time, and one praises a friendly young man at the counter. The negatives are sharp but less frequent. Two reviewers describe a dish that did not match the menu photos: crispy beef and sweet and sour chicken that were tough and chewy, and beef in spring onion and ginger that was mostly white onion, alongside salt and pepper ribs that were fat under thick batter. Both say complaints met resistance, and one received a refund only for the ribs. Among the happier accounts, a regular whose beef in black bean sauce was left out of an order phoned the shop and had it delivered to the door shortly afterwards.

“Probably one of best Chinese takeaways I've ever had. Plenty of flavour, meat was tender. Really enjoyed it.”

“If I could give no stars at all I would… we ordered a take away last night that can only be described as ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. Beef in spring onion and ginger was about 5 small pieces of beef with the remainder of the pot FULL of white onion. The salt and pepper ribs were knuckles of fat hidden with a thick coat of batter and no meat at all. When we called to complain we were told ‘ nothing we can do’ so we took the ‘ meal’ back to show them, my partner received a tirade of verbal abuse until the son saw sense and accepted ‘ the ribs are particularly bad’ and only refunded for them. We still paid the best part of £30 for nothing.”

“The food was 1sr class, could not have been better. Will not use any other takeaway from now on. The place was so clean and the young man that served me was really friendly and helpful.”

“AVOID!!!! I had chicken chow mein and bbq last night, went to bed feeling absolutely fine then after around 2 hours I started being violently sick, diarrhoea, aching all over, and shivering. Not to mention my resting heart rate being above 130bpm. I felt horrendous to the point I had to call 111 (I’ve never had to call them but this time was totally different) after a lengthy phone call the lady decided she wanted to get me up to the urgent care clinic. So here I am waiting to be seen, still throwing up etc with suspected food poisoning. Will absolutely never be going there again!!!”
