Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the Chinese food, with several calling it the best in Leek and others describing years of regular orders. The salt and pepper chips get a specific mention as the best in town, and diners praise huge portions, good value, hot and fresh food, and a good selection of vegetarian options. One reviewer notes a dish was changed for a partner who dislikes spicy food, and another likes that the chip shop and Chinese sit under one roof, nicknaming it the "chipnese". Delivery is described as fast, and one regular says nothing has ever been missed from an order. Criticism is mixed in weight. One reviewer found the food a little greasy at times, and another found the wait much longer than at comparable places, with no explanation from staff, though the chippy food was fine. The sharpest complaints are two one-star accounts: one diner describes chicken with large lumps of fat and gristle and mixed vegetables of only onion and green pepper, and another reports that a mixed meat dish tasted strongly of fish and that the household was ill afterwards. One reviewer also notes it is cash only.

“The food I was served with from this place yesterday was disgusting. I ate a couple of mouthfuls and had to throw the rest away, it would have made me vomit if I had eaten any more. I ordered chicken but I have never seen or tasted anything like the big lumps of fat and gristle that was served. The mixed vegetables in the dish were only onion and a couple of strips of green pepper. Truly horrible food, I felt very cheated. And still hungry .”

“We order from here regularly, wait times are decent, the food we really enjoy. Sometimes can be a little greasy but for the most part it's amazing. We've always had it come hot and nothings ever missed off our order. The chip shop is pretty cheap and the Chinese is really good would definitely recommend. We love having the option of both and have nicknamed it the 'chipnese'.”
