About TADA
TADA is a Japanese restaurant at 6 Otley Rd in Headingley, Leeds, built around a Bincho charcoal grill that cooks its yakitori skewers. A sushi counter runs alongside the grill, with the Tada Roll and the Dragon Roll among the rolls. The kitchen makes its tonkotsu ramen in house, and the King Prawn Ramen comes in a miso broth. The drinks list covers cocktails, sakes and Japanese whiskeys to go with the food. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Sushi rolls draw the most mentions, with the Tada Roll, Dragon Roll, Soft Shell Crab Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll singled out, and one diner calling the sushi incredibly fresh. Servers come close behind, with nearly every reviewer crediting one who answered questions and explained the menu, which helped those who found it hard to choose without photos. The ramen also earns praise, particularly the king prawn and black garlic versions for a flavourful broth. Others liked the king prawn katsu, tempura prawns, katsu curry and a crispy apple dessert, and the yuzu sake and yuzu spritzer stand out among the drinks. The recurring criticism is space: reviewers describe the tables as small or quite close together, and one found the restaurant busy even at 6pm and recommends booking. Several diners celebrating birthdays or an anniversary report that a cake was brought out to the table, and at one table the neighbouring diners joined in singing happy birthday.

“The food was so good! Very flavourful ramen broth with quite a few options. Got the black garlic ramen with chicken and miso broth, and also the king prawn ramen with miso broth. It’s been a while since I’ve had such flavourful broth so been a pleasant surprise. We were also served by Maisie, who was so sweet and friendly! The ambience in the restaurant was phenomenal too. Will definitely be back again!”

“Tada was amazing!! I went there for my 21st birthday yesterday and we were served by Daisy, who was so lovely- checking in on us regularly and answered all our questions!! The food is a little expensive but there was 8 of us and it genuinely was so worth it, everyone loved everything they ordered (we shared a lot as well). Highly recommend the Tada and the Soft crash sushi roll! Perfect for any occasion (they were happy to bring out my cake) and I am looking forward to going back :))”

“Amy is the best server ever!!! So so so lovely, food came super fast, she even took the extra care of making sure we didn’t burn ourselves on the plates which were also absolutely fabulous! prices were better than any chain, decorations and vibes were amazing but what really made the experience was Amy. Thank you so much, will never go to wagamama again!!!!”

“The food was beautiful! Most importantly Maisie was so lovely, she made our night and we continued to talk about how great her service was and how kind and chatty she was. She helped us decide what to eat by explaining her favourites and the whole menu. It was our anniversary and she made the experience amazing and we will definitely be back :)”
