  “The person behind bar was extremely rude, I asked if I could pay cash and she got lairy and had a meltdown about how it’s card only which is fine with me as I would have just paid card however she said “it’s literally card only you should have known this” I found this very rude and the people behind the bar especially her (the short one) I don’t recommend going here if you have cash as they get angry even if your happy to pay on card”

  “We went to a private area roped off this Saturday 10/1/26 in tiki hideaway. Was told area was 8-11, small bar area with uninterested bar staff. Went to main bar asked for bottle of prosecco was told you have to go downstairs for that. Not “oh hold on a minute I’ll go get you one “ Had to ask for a cooler to go with the Prosecco after going downstairs. Uninterested bar staff downstairs which was amazing because it was absolutely dead. At 10:50pm one of the managers started trying to move us all from the area we had booked. One of our people mentioned to the manager about it not being fair being moved when we’re paying £6 a can of beer etc, no fighting or aggression. Just a comment. Cue crazy door team guy straight over telling him he’s taking his drink off him and taking him out the weird way, down the fire escape rather than the normal way out. I’ve worked in bars and clubs for over 25 years and that’s not normal, one door guy actually took the time to get both sides of the story whilst we said there was no aggression, manager came back and got a bit heated with us, tall door guy with dreads continued to be threatening to us when we posed no issues. Credit to the security guy who spoke with us. No credit to the big guy with dreads who clearly has issues along with the “manager” Also looking at 15 bad reviews about the door team here. Maybe need to have a look at this ? Left and won’t be returning. 0 stars if I could. *EDIT As I can’t reply to your response I’m editing this, let me point out firstly we were thrown out of the area not just the ropes removed, like I said I work in the nightlife industry I understand how it works. Your Doorman was plain rude and looking for a fight, looking at cctv won’t change that. Speak to your security company for gods sake. Also you said about taking people out the fire escape way to avoid a busy bar. There were literally no customers downstairs so that doesn’t make sense. It’s clear your doorteam are a shambles. 16 bad reviews about just the doorteam. Wow. I’d like to know the name of the security firm who employ your door team please.”

  “Bar 42 is a small, nice bar that’s great for private and party bookings. They serve a good variety of drinks, and although they don’t offer food, they do accept both cash and card payments, which is convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a girl named Kalcy who took my order perfectly—always smiling, greeting people warmly, and providing excellent service. Overall, it’s a good place to relax and enjoy drinks with great service.”

  “A girl working at the bar with blondish hair was extremely rude after she accidentally took away a drink that I had just bought. She completely disregarded me and then sprayed cleaning solution on me without apologizing. Another lady with dark hair helped me out.”

  “There was a big group of my mates out, and this bouncer was incredibly aggressive and rude to us. He refused entry to the first one of us trying to get in claiming she was “too drunk”. Yet the person had not had a single drink yet. When another one of my friends explained this and questioned it, he got very aggressive saying none of us where allowed in because of her answering back. He was stuck up, arrogant, aggressive, racist and Rude. The other bouncers said they was sorry to us and tried to stay out of it as they where apparently “employed by him”. Disgraceful and ruined our night. Because of this I have to rate it 1*. Despite seeing other replies to these poor reviews about the bouncers that the security team arnt apart of your business and are employed by another company, I feel that it is your job to make sure the security team that stand outside your building are respectful people.”

  “Been coming for years, ange and liban were amazing and years later, Debs, Elina, and Hope were lovely at the bar. They sorted me out with drinks when a payment got mixed up and made up for it with customer service. Walter and Brandon on the door were also lovely. Would recommend to anyone”

  “The security that are working at this establishment are very unprofessional and aggressive. They informed me that I couldn’t enter the property as I was on my own. I asked the question why they would refuse a person who was alone as not all people are in a group or with others and might just enjoy either socialising alone or be in town on business and not have anyone to accompany them. I was then informed that it’s just the companies policy and procedure while still being aggressive and abrupt towards me. When requesting to speak with a manager i was greeted by a gentleman who was also very abrupt towards myself. I asked him why they would isolate and prevent anyone from enjoying the establishment whom was alone as not all people travel in groups of more than 2 I was told again it’s company policy! I offered to show both the “so called manager and aggressive security” whom I was to assure them that I wasn’t going to cause any kind of trouble or some sort of thug I just wanted to enjoy a few quiet drinks before heading home got the night. I requested the names of both the “so called manager and security” so that I could inform the management of my experience and I was again greeted with aggressiveness. I would highly recommend and suggest that if visiting this establishment that you are not a male alone as you will be greeted with the same kind of experience. Management please review the conduct of your employees as they are not going to help your business or reputation.”
