Customer Review Summary
Friendly, fast service is the recurring thread through most reviews, with several diners specifically praising staff for being welcoming and attentive. Food draws repeated praise too, especially the haggis fritters and the mac and cheese one reviewer's "fussy eater" niece called the "best and cheesiest mac&cheese everrrr", alongside the lasagna and the £7.49 wrap deals (chilli chicken wrap or chicken avocado wrap with chips and a drink). The dog friendly setup, with water and snacks provided, and the beer garden also get mentions from visiting reviewers, as does the atmosphere during football coverage and value drinks like a Heavy Shandy and Double Vodka and Coke totalling £8. One reviewer, however, describes driving 45 minutes for a pre-booked Easter roast lunch advertised by the pub's parent brand, only to find on arrival that no such meal was actually offered and that bar staff seemed unaware of the promotion. Aside from that booking mishap, closing impressions tend to be positive, with reviewers on work trips or holiday saying they'd return next time they're in Largs.

“Went in the other day for food and drinks and couldnt have been happier, the food was delicious and was very fast to be served and tasted delicious which was a plus, A special mention has to go to John and June, who were both so welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. They made us feel right at home and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. Their excellent customer service really made the experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it’s definitely somewhere I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and fantastic service!”

“Marketing for Easter roast lunch all over the Belhaven website and the Drouthy sub-site. Direct booking for Easter lunch with Belhaven. Confirmation email saying our booking 'means the world to them' (corporate marketing garbage). Drove the 45 minutes to get there and the table was reserved, but they don't do a Sunday roast, never mind an Easter roast lunch they said, so off we went. Guys at the bar were nice enough and seemed completely unaware of the Easter programme, so looks like Belhaven aren't clear on what communication with their bars or customers actually means. Obviously, this review will have no actual impact on Belhaven, but i hope someone reading this decides to change from a Belhaven drink to something else just once ...best thing is they wouldn't even know haha.”
